Jon M. Chu’s Wicked movies are a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, bringing the beloved story to life on screen. Based on the popular Broadway musical (which itself was inspired by Gregory Maguire’s novel), the films are visually impressive, filled with memorable songs, and deeply moving. Because the musical is presented in two parts, Chu chose to adapt it as a two-part movie to fully develop the characters. Given the films’ success, Universal Pictures is already considering making more Wicked movies, according to Vulture.

On X (formerly Twitter), comic book creator Rob Liefeld criticized the CGI in the new Fantastic Four: First Steps film, calling it “so fake.” Ralph Ineson, who plays Galactus in the movie, responded with a playful jab, simply writing “rent free” and adding a laughing-crying emoji, implying Liefeld’s comments were giving the film free publicity.

As a millennial who grew up loving musical theater, I’ve been incredibly excited about the Wicked movies for the past couple of years – they feel like a major event! While it’s still uncertain if For Good will be an Oscar contender, the film is already a huge box office success. One big question fans have been debating is whether Glinda understands what happened to Elphaba at the end, and the director, Jon M. Chu, has finally shared his thoughts.

The new HD remastered episodes of One Piece that Netflix released on November 15th haven’t been well-received by fans. Many are claiming the episodes weren’t actually remastered, but simply cropped to fit modern screens and then enhanced with AI. This has resulted in a picture quality that looks less sharp and more flat compared to the original versions, according to viewers on social media.

The New York Post reports that the future of this effort depends on whether the Ellison family can buy Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount Global, led by Larry Ellison’s son David, is also trying to acquire the company.

Even though the movie has earned over $1.3 billion worldwide, Disney’s financial reports from the UK suggest the studio’s profits might be much lower than anticipated, and it may have barely made enough money to cover its costs.

You won’t believe this, but Eric Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, still has one more huge update planned for the game! Even though he’s currently working on The Haunted Chocolatier, he’s promising one last big surprise for us Stardew Valley fans before 2025 is over. It’s amazing!

Ryan Coogler made Sinners as a deliberate change of pace from big franchise films like Creed and Black Panther. He wanted to tell a more intimate, personal story without the pressure of building a larger cinematic universe. Because of this, a sequel to Sinners doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. Luckily, the world of Sinners can still expand through other mediums besides live-action movies.

Tonight marks 49 years since the concert happened – it was Thanksgiving night, November 25th, 1976. The concert film, which is now available to watch for free on YouTube, came out in April 1978. Because of the Thanksgiving connection, I always make sure to watch it every Thanksgiving, and I definitely turn up the volume, just like the film’s opening title suggests!

Kenneth Branagh, known for his role in Tenet, is also an accomplished writer and director – he won an Oscar for the screenplay of Belfast, which he also directed. While he’s made some interesting career choices, like playing the villain in the movie Wild Wild West, his upcoming film, Goblin, might be his most unusual project yet.
