The “Flawless” Sci-Fi Action Thriller “Masterpiece” That’s Dominating Streaming Ahead of Anticipated Sequel

Hitting theaters on September 6, 2013, Riddick is currently the third most popular movie on the free streaming platform, Tubi. It featured Diesel reprising his role of the titular anti-hero made famous in Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick. This time around he was joined by the likes of Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, and Matt Nable. Produced for $38 million (the bulk of which was funded by Diesel himself), the sequel managed to take in $98 million at the box office, making it a modest hit. Unlike its more ambitious predecessor, Riddick returned the franchise to its roots with a stripped-down survival story that once again reminded fans why Diesel’s morally gray hero became such an icon. The official synopsis reads:

Sebastian Stan’s Marvel Comments Has Fans Concerned He Might Get Killed Off In Doomsday

Details about Avengers: Doomsday are scarce, but Stan is among the confirmed cast members. The Russo Brothers are directing again, and given the high number of character deaths in Infinity War and Endgame, fans are speculating about who might not survive this time. Stan recently discussed this period in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during an appearance on the Stronger podcast, saying:

Pluribus: What Really Happened To Helen?

Rhea Seehorn’s character, Carol Sturka, has quickly become the most compelling hero of the series. What sets her apart from other survivors is that she’s completely alone in navigating this new, post-apocalyptic world. While others have loved ones to lean on, Carol lost Helen, the most important person in her life.

Fan-Favorite MCU Villain Gets Recast As DCU Reverse-Flash In New DC Art

Several actors who previously appeared in Marvel projects—including Nathan Fillion, Sean Gunn, David Harbour, and Michael Rooker—are now working on DC films and shows. This trend suggests we might see more Marvel stars playing key villains in the DC Universe, potentially even iconic characters like Reverse-Flash. Currently, fan art is circulating that depicts a popular Marvel actor taking on the role of this Flash villain.

Predator: Badlands Forgets What Made the Franchise Great

Predator: Badlands offers a fresh take on the Predator franchise. Director Dan Trachtenberg, known for Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers, introduces Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), a young and less experienced Predator who must prove his worth. He’s sent to a particularly dangerous planet to hunt a terrifying creature. This film gives us the first-ever Predator seen from its own perspective – something the original Alien vs. Predator briefly hinted at – and reveals a completely new side to these formidable hunters.

REVIEW: “Nuremberg” (2025)

Hermann Göring, Hitler’s second-in-command, was the most important Nazi official tried at Nuremberg. A brilliant but extremely self-centered and devoted follower, Göring rose from Supreme Commander of the Air Force to become one of Hitler’s closest and most relied-upon advisors. Throughout the Nuremberg trials, his confidence and shrewdness were evident, though ultimately they proved to be his downfall.

I’ve Wondered If Edgar Wright Would Ever Direct A Superhero Movie After Leaving Ant-Man Years Ago, And Someone Asked Him

I’ve often thought about whether director Edgar Wright would consider making another superhero movie. So, I was happy to see him discuss the possibility in an interview with The Playlist. He was promoting his upcoming film, The Running Man, when asked, and his response was pretty typical of his dry wit. He didn’t completely dismiss superhero films, but it’s clear he’s not eager to direct one in the near future. If you were hoping he’d take on a project like X-Men or Fantastic Four, you might be disappointed.
