As a huge Stephen King fan, I’m really hoping we get some good news! While I’m sending all the positive energy I can, I’m also really hoping co-showrunner Jason Fuchs gets a chance to develop a spin-off focusing on Dick Hallorann – I think his story deserves to be told and would be amazing!

For the past few years, a new wave of talented filmmakers has been creating exceptional horror movies. Many of these directors really shone in 2025, making it a great year for the genre. However, with so many excellent horror films released, it’s tough to pick out the very best.

James Cameron is known for the grand scale of the Avatar movies, and Avatar: Fire & Ash really showcases his talent for visual storytelling. The film’s climactic battle is a perfect example: it initially leads you to expect one thing, then dramatically changes the scope of the entire conflict.
I was really blown away by The Testament of Ann Lee! Amanda Seyfried is incredible in the lead role, and director Robert Eggers has brought together a fantastic cast – Lewis Pullman plays her brother William, and you’ll also recognize Christopher Abbott as her husband, Abraham. Thomasin McKenzie, Stacy Martin, and Tim Blake Nelson are all in it too. It premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and everyone is raving about it, especially Seyfried’s performance – it’s so intense and feels really real. Plus, the movie features some beautiful musical numbers! Right now, it has a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so I’m really excited for everyone to see it.
