Okay, so I was a little bummed when Billie’s story seemed to take a backseat after season two. But get this – she actually showed up in *Vampirina: Teenage Vampire*! This new Disney show is about Vee, a young vampire who moves from Transylvania to a regular boarding school and tries to keep her vampire life a secret. Turns out Billie and Vee already knew each other, which was a really cool surprise! It basically confirms that both shows exist in the same universe, and I’m hoping for a proper crossover episode sometime soon – that would be awesome!

Natalie briefly appeared at the end of the last episode when Goodwin called her with the shocking news that Owen had been shot. This marked the third time actress Marina Squerciati has made a surprise appearance since leaving the show as a regular cast member. Her return is connected to a much more serious event than Will’s departure in Season 8, and she’ll be heavily involved in the new episode, “Horseshoes and Hand Grenades,” airing October 15th. The film begins in 1982, four years after the events of the first movie. Finn, the sole survivor of The Grabber, managed to defeat him, but still struggles with the trauma. His younger sister, Gwen, is also haunted by the same ringing and terrifying dreams of abused children beneath a frozen lake. These dreams, and a particularly disturbing one where she speaks to her deceased mother who shares similar visions, propel the story forward.

Created with a remarkably small budget of around $33,000, this film tells a haunting and unusual story about a woman who barely survives a car accident and then feels lost in a world that doesn’t seem to acknowledge her. Though it initially failed at the box office, the movie was rediscovered decades later through late-night television, eventually gaining a dedicated and devoted cult following. *Carnival of Souls* became a hugely influential independent horror film, and its surreal style and eerie atmosphere directly inspired iconic directors like David Lynch and George A. Romero.
