The 1994 film adaptation of *Interview with the Vampire*, starring Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, and Tom Cruise, was a moderate success. However, AMC’s recent television series has become a huge hit in its first two seasons. While the spin-off *The Mayfair Witches* didn’t quite capture the same dark appeal, a second spin-off called *Talamasca: The Secret Order* is scheduled to premiere on October 26, 2025. Viewers are optimistic that *Talamasca* will be as popular as *Interview with the Vampire*, which is widely considered the best vampire TV show of all time.

*Kiss of the Spider Woman* is a film that appeals even to those who don’t typically enjoy musicals, while also offering a powerful story of acceptance and queer love set in an Argentine prison during the 1980s. The film strongly suggests that the character Molina is transgender, and in the accompanying video, I discuss this interpretation with the film’s lead actor and director. A common running gag in the *Final Fantasy* games is the appearance of characters named Biggs and Wedge. This is a nod to two supporting characters from *Star Wars*. They often play the role of somewhat clumsy friends and have, at different times, aided both the good guys and the bad guys. They first showed up in *Final Fantasy VI*, but in the original SNES version, Biggs was actually known as Vicks.

In the film, McAdams stars as Linda Liddle, a quiet and unassuming office worker constantly belittled by her snobby and unpleasant boss, Bradley (played by O’Brien). After a plane crash leaves them stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors, the power dynamic shifts. Bradley’s controlling behavior finally pushes Linda to take charge, and she asserts herself as the new leader. The film’s trailer brilliantly sets up this wild combination of comedy and thrills, and I’m really excited to see it!

Krysten Ritter recently posted a short video on Instagram showing the first part of the trailer for the upcoming season of *Daredevil: Born Again*. The trailer was previewed at New York Comic Con and offers fans a first look at Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones.
