Even before its release, The Odyssey is sparking debate among fans, with discussions focusing on the actors, costumes, and the specific ancient Greek text Christopher Nolan used as inspiration. Beyond these initial reactions, the story itself is likely to evoke strong feelings. The film retells the epic journey of Odysseus, a Greek king, as he struggles to return home to his wife after a decade-long voyage filled with challenges from both gods and humans.

I’m a huge fan of Kulipari, and it’s a bit complicated because it’s technically three separate shows! The first two, Kulipari: An Army of Frogs and Kulipari: Dream Walker, you can find on Netflix. Sadly, Netflix didn’t continue the series, but Hulu stepped in to finish the story with a shorter season called Kulipari: A King Rises. If you’re looking for something to really dive into, all three seasons together are about nine and a half hours long – perfect for a weekend binge!

This 2011 action thriller stars Liam Neeson as Ottway, a wolf hunter who’s part of a group of oil workers stranded in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. He must lead the seven other survivors to safety while being pursued by a pack of wolves. While it features Neeson, The Grey is a slower, more suspenseful film than his Taken movies – it’s similar in tone to A Walk Among the Tombstones. The film also stars Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, and Joe Anderson, and was directed by Joe Carnahan. It’s one of over 200 movies recently added to Pluto TV’s free streaming library.

In the fourth episode of Landman season 2, Cami asked Gallino for financial help to rebuild the offshore gas rig owned by M-Tex. Holmes’s behavior and backstory often seem eccentric, particularly by today’s standards, and the details surrounding him have grown increasingly rich and complex over the years.

Cryogenically freezing people after death is a popular trope in science fiction, but it’s rarely done in reality. A long-standing rumor claimed Walt Disney was frozen after his death, but that proved false. Recently, Simon Cowell discussed his own interest in cryopreservation with The New York Times. What was more surprising was not that he initially wanted to be frozen, but why he ultimately changed his mind.

I think Hamnet is a truly impressive film, even though it wasn’t quite to my taste. The movie, directed by Chloé Zhao and based on a book, is intentionally very moving – it’s a story about the heartbreaking loss of a child and how it impacts the parents. The acting is fantastic across the board. I fully expect Jessie Buckley to win a lot of awards soon, and Paul Mescal might be right up there with her.

While there were several sequels made, The Exorcist didn’t become the hugely successful horror series the film studio hoped for. The 2023 film, The Exorcist: Believer, was intended to restart the franchise, but it performed so poorly that all future plans were canceled. Now, Mike Flanagan is attempting to revitalize the struggling series, but even his skill may not be enough to overcome its fundamental problems.
