A heartwarming moment during the Dancing with the Stars holiday special showed professional dancer Emma Slater dancing again with her two most recent partners, comedian Andy Richter and actor Reginald VelJohnson. The playful choreography, with background dancers circling Andy and Reggie, highlighted how much Slater deserves a highly skilled partner in season 35.
Both viewers and critics seem to think the first part of Stranger Things season 5 is among the show’s best. If the final episodes are as good as these first four, the series will have a satisfying conclusion.
The reason we know for certain that Spaceballs 2 isn’t just some weird dream is that the principal photography on the film has officially wrapped. Josh Gad posted to Instagram with the news that filming is done. It feels like production had only just started, and Gad himself says that the entire experience has gone by faster than Ridiculous Speed. He said:

Let me tell you, the visuals in this film are stunning. Gotham City has never looked this good – it felt truly immersive and expansive, like stepping right into the world. A huge part of that is thanks to the incredible work of Greig Fraser, the cinematographer. He really brought Gotham to life in a way that’s both clear and captivating. It’s easily some of the best work I’ve seen all year.
I always admired how Zoe Saldaña approached playing Neytiri in Avatar. It wasn’t about pretending to be a teenage girl, she told me, but about reconnecting with the feelings and experiences she had as a teenager herself. She really went back and became that young girl again, which I thought was incredible.
Zach Cregger first directed a feature film on his own in 2022 with ‘Barbarian.’ Before that, he collaborated with Trevor Moore (who sadly passed away in 2021) to co-direct ‘Miss March’ in 2009 and ‘The Civil War on Drugs’ in 2011. Following the success of ‘Barbarian,’ Cregger produced ‘Companion,’ set to release in 2025, and his latest film, ‘Weapons,’ came out in U.S. cinemas this past August.
Even though it didn’t last long, we saw a string of fantastic movies and shows, including Killer Joe (2011), Dallas Buyers Club (2013), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and the standout first season of True Detective (2014). Interstellar (2014) was also released around then, though it’s not really my cup of tea.
