First Predator: Badlands Reactions Are All Saying the Same Thing

As a huge fan of the Predator series, I have to say Dan Trachtenberg’s ‘Predator: Badlands’ really delivers! Empire’s Amon Warmann nailed it when he called it ‘friggin’ awesome.’ It’s packed with creative action, has a surprising amount of natural humor, and honestly, I was completely hooked by the story. The series blended the thought-provoking themes of The Twilight Zone with the adventurous spirit of Doctor Who and the futuristic vision of Forbidden Planet, immediately setting it apart. Roddenberry offered a hopeful glimpse into humanity’s future, imagining a more understanding, accepting, and unified world than the one in 1960s America. Perhaps most importantly, the show established a defining principle for science fiction: the Prime Directive.
