Sony Pictures and Netflix are continuing to collaborate, and a new project has been announced: a sequel to the popular animated film The Mitchells vs. the Machines. The original, released in 2021 and nominated for an Oscar, featured the voices of Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, and Abbi Jacobson. Production on The Mitchells vs. the Machines 2 is slated to begin in early 2026, with Guillermo Martinez and JP Sans returning to direct.

I was so excited to see a clip from The Rise of Skywalker pop up on the official Star Wars YouTube channel! It reminded me of one of my favorite scenes – when Rey and Ben Solo, connected by the Force, passed Anakin’s lightsaber back and forth. It was awesome seeing Ben use it to take down the Knights of Ren, and then join up with Rey after she dealt with Palpatine’s guards. It’s a bittersweet moment, though, because right after that, they both ended up getting overpowered by the Emperor.

Season 13 of Chicago PD will only feature three of the show’s original cast members, as Patrick Flueger is leaving. However, there’s hope for fans: Flueger’s departure doesn’t necessarily mean his character, Ruzek, is gone for good from the One Chicago world.

The upcoming film, Welcome to Derry, starring Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, is a prequel to Stephen King’s It and its previous adaptations. The story is set in 1962 and centers on the grandfather of It‘s Mike Hanlon, who uncovers a long history of evil in the town of Derry, Maine. Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things will see the people of Hawkins, Indiana, unite for one last showdown against the villain Vecna.

From the beginning of the zombie outbreak in The Walking Dead, the show generally avoided making survivors famous. However, Daryl Dixon recently killed a well-known character, marking a shift from the earlier seasons where most named characters were just regular people trying to live. This changed with the introduction of Beta, who became a prominent figure in the series.

Xfinity customers can now enjoy AMC Networks’ HIDIVE streaming service for free for a limited time, thanks to Comcast’s “Free this Week” program. This offer coincides with HIDIVE’s launch on Xfinity devices like X1, Xumo Stream Box, Xumo TV, and Xfinity Flex. HIDIVE, which started in 2017, offers a wide variety of anime – over 500 hours – with both subtitles and English dubbing. The movie Back to the Future is set in the made-up town of Hill Valley, California. It follows Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) as he hangs out with his girlfriend, Jennifer, and his quirky scientist friend, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). When Doc convinces Marty to test a time machine, Marty travels back to 1955 in a DeLorean. There, he accidentally interferes with his parents’ (Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson) first meeting, potentially erasing himself from existence.

Skybound Entertainment and Hasbro are collaborating on a new adult animated series called Energon Universe, inspired by the comic books of the same name. Joe Henderson, known for Lucifer, will be the writer and showrunner. According to Deadline, the series will be expansive and geared towards adults, similar in tone to Kirkman’s Invincible. It will feature characters from Transformers and G.I. Joe, along with Void Rivals, a new series created by Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici that debuted in 2023 as part of the same comic book collection.

Matthew McConaughey isn’t just a talented actor – he’s also a successful entrepreneur. One of his ventures is Pantalones Organic Tequila, which he co-founded with his wife, Camila Alves (42). They often star in humorous commercials for the brand, and while many of those ads have become popular online, their newest one is particularly hilarious. The ad, posted on McConaughey’s Instagram, begins with a voiceover by Steve ZirnKilton from Law & Order – it’s best to just watch it for yourself!

While the franchise is widely praised, it wasn’t Leigh Whannell and James Wan’s first horror collaboration, nor was it the first film Wilson appeared in. Wan had previously co-created the Saw franchise with Whannell, and their 2011 film marked the beginning of a partnership that deserved more recognition. Insidious enjoyed a good run, but unfortunately, it never reached the same iconic status as Saw.
