When talking about Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, he found himself thinking about Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula film was visually stunning, and he pointed out that Sleepy Hollow achieved a similar level of visual excellence. Matthew Belloni of Puck reports that the two-hour finale of Stranger Things will likely premiere in AMC and other movie theaters on New Year’s Eve, the same day it’s released on Netflix. While the deal isn’t officially finalized yet, sources say it’s moving forward. If confirmed, this would give the popular show a grand send-off on the big screen, satisfying fans and fulfilling a wish of the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer. They recently told Variety that the final episode should be seen in theaters.

As a critic, I always felt sorry for Chuck Cunningham on ‘Happy Days.’ Initially, he was set up as the dependable older brother to Richie, but that role quickly vanished. You see, a cool, leather-jacketed newcomer, Fonzie, stole the show and became the one Richie turned to for guidance. Frankly, with Fonzie around, Chuck just wasn’t needed. And beyond being a former college basketball player, Chuck didn’t really have much going for him. It’s no surprise they wrote him off the show entirely. It was a bit of a quiet exit, actually – in the 1984 finale, Howard simply mentioned that both his children were now married, as if to say, ‘Oh, and by the way, Chuck’s gone.’

The movie recently did very well with a special sing-along release in theaters, earning $19.2 million and becoming the top film in the US and Canada. Because of this success, Netflix and Sony, the companies behind the film, are planning to continue the story with a possible sequel – potentially titled KPop Demon Hunters – as well as other projects like a TV series and a stage musical.

In a recent interview with New Rockstars, James Gunn addressed the possibility of using Darkseid as the main villain for the DC Universe. He explained that while Darkseid is a compelling character, using him right now isn’t the best approach. Gunn noted that Zack Snyder already portrayed Darkseid effectively, and because of the similar role Thanos played in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it feels like a path already taken.

The third season of Shrinking premieres on Apple TV on January 28, 2026, starting with a one-hour-long first episode. The season will consist of eleven episodes, released weekly on Wednesdays, with the final episode airing on April 8. Alongside the show’s main stars, like Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and Jessica Williams, Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox will appear as guests. Brett Goldstein, who also co-created the series and plays Louis Wilson, will be back in a recurring role. Cobie Smulders, known for How I Met Your Mother, will also return after her guest appearance in Season 2.

The highly anticipated sequel to Mortal Kombat sees the return of beloved characters like Cole Young, Sonya Blade, Jax, Raiden, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Kung Lao, and Kano, along with exciting new addition Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. Together, they must fight in a brutal, no-limits battle to defeat the tyrannical Shao Kahn and save Earthrealm from destruction.
