Wynonna Earp is difficult to categorize. Some see it as a fantasy show with a Western setting, used mainly to tell a story about a strong female lead. Others consider it a modern Western at its core, given its basic storyline and structure. The truth is likely a blend of both perspectives.
Richard Harington played Dane Whitman in the 2021 film Eternals, directed by Chloé Zhao. In the Marvel comics, Dane Whitman – created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema and first appearing in The Avengers #47 in 1967 – is the third hero to take on the identity of Black Knight. The end of Eternals showed Dane acquiring the Ebony Blade, hinting he would become the Black Knight, but he hasn’t been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since.
Ryu and Ken, iconic fighters from the Street Fighter series, team up again after Chun-Li asks for their help in the World Warrior Tournament. During the competition, they uncover a dangerous plot and are forced to battle not only their opponents but also their own histories – a conflict that could lead to their downfall.
With Supergirl, the DC Universe moves beyond the creative control of James Gunn, handing the directorial reins to Craig Gillespie, known for I, Tonya and Cruella. However, Gunn’s influence is still strongly felt throughout the film. In fact, more than in Superman, it appears Gunn’s experience with the Marvel Cinematic Universe – particularly his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy – heavily shaped the movie, as evidenced by the first trailer.
The past few years have brought a lot of Marvel TV shows, including premieres like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies. Wonder Man is coming in January, and we can expect a second season of Daredevil: Born Again in March 2026.
The Targaryen dynasty was known for its incredible dragons – some were beautiful and unique, while others were terrifying. By looking at details from George R.R. Martin’s books, as well as the shows House of the Dragon and Daenerys’ story in Game of Thrones, we can start to figure out which dragons were the most impressive when paired with their Targaryen riders.
A prime example of this is the choice of Pennywise as the monster’s form. Initially, he appears deeply disturbing, menacing, and incredibly secretive, making him instantly untrustworthy. The book Welcome to Derry clarifies not only why Pennywise took this shape, but also how those forms remained so powerful for so long. However, this explanation creates a significant inconsistency with Pennywise’s behavior in It: Chapter Two.
The first trailer for Supergirl gives us a decent look at the movie, and it’s hard not to compare it to other films. For me, it strongly reminds me of a particularly well-regarded superhero and science fiction movie from the 2010s.
Season 2 is officially happening, and it will be based on the sixth book in the Game Changer series, The Long Game, according to Entertainment Weekly. HBO will continue to air the show in the US and Australia, and is working with Crave to expand its availability. Stars Hudsom Williams and Connor Storrie filmed a video announcing the new season, teasing it will be “Hotter, wetter, longer.” Storrie encouraged fans to read The Long Game if they want to find out what happens. Following the mixed response to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson decided to focus on a genre he enjoyed: mystery. Instead of adapting a classic Agatha Christie story or another well-known murder mystery, he created Knives Out. Released in 2019, the film first introduced audiences to Daniel Craig’s memorable detective, Benoit Blanc.
