Although the movie The Odyssey won’t be released until July 2026, a special preview of its opening scenes has been shown in some IMAX theaters. This preview, featuring stars like Matt Damon, came after a short teaser trailer was released last summer. Even though most viewers have only seen shaky, fan-recorded footage, many have already formed opinions about Nolan’s 3-hour historical film.
Fans were quick to notice and voice their disappointment when Variety published a list that left out the Michael B. Jordan vampire film. The announcement on X (which also featured an image that many designers would criticize) sparked even more angry reactions. The film, Sinners, boasts impressive scores – 97% from critics and 96% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes – which is unusual for a horror movie.

Following the legal issues surrounding Friday the 13th, Horror Inc. created the Jason Universe as a new brand. Robbie Barsamian, a company executive, later shared that they were developing a new Friday the 13th film under this new branding. The director then revealed he’s already submitted a proposal for the project.
Earlier this year, Eric Kripke hinted at major character deaths. In an interview with Deadline, he said viewers shouldn’t expect a peaceful ending, stating that “many characters will likely die” and that no one’s survival is certain. Certain characters on the Prime Video series seem particularly vulnerable, given their actions, health conditions, and how their stories play out in the original comic books.
I recently chatted with Paul Feig, and the topic of a potential Spy sequel came up. He’s known for generally avoiding sequels, but given how much people loved the original action comedy, I had to ask if he’d reconsider.
