Mary Shelley’s *Frankenstein*, ever since the famous 1931 film with Boris Karloff, has inspired many of the greatest horror movies ever made. Even when filmmakers try to make a lighter, more humorous version, the story’s unsettling and disturbing elements always shine through. Fans of the original novel have plenty of film adaptations to choose from, though some are much more successful than others.

Starting November 14, 2025, the movie *Madame Web* will no longer be available on Netflix in the U.S. and will instead stream on Disney+. What’s On Netflix reports that the film was on Netflix for about a year and a half. Currently, *Madame Web* isn’t available on Disney+ outside of the U.S. because the agreement between Sony and Disney only covers streaming rights in the U.S. after its initial theatrical release.

The project was initially revealed in European trade publications, and recently gained attention thanks to a report by *Bleeding Fool*. They pointed out the story’s focus on feminist themes and Netflix’s increasing interest in remakes that explore specific viewpoints.

A24 has set an April 3, 2026, release date for the new film, *The Drama*. According to *The Hollywood Reporter*, the movie—starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya—is a romantic comedy about a couple whose relationship faces a surprising twist right before their wedding.

The second season of the reality show *Squid Game: The Challenge* is coming to Netflix in November, released in three parts. The first four episodes will be available on November 4th, followed by another four on November 11th, and the final episode on November 18th. This season has nine episodes, slightly fewer than the ten in the first season, which was won by Mai Whelan who took home a $4.56 million prize. She shared with Netflix a few years ago:

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, known for their Oscar-winning scores for films like *The Social Network* and *Soul*, created the electronic music for *Tron: Ares*, and it was a highlight of the movie. I was surprised to discover, only during the end credits, that one of the most important rock bands in American history also made an appearance.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Executive Producer Steve Holland discussed Mary’s romantic life becoming a key focus when she returns in the October 30th episode of the show, titled “A Will and a Dead Man’s Wife.” Holland explained that Mary makes a significant decision in the upcoming episode, and it immediately affects her son, Georgie.

According to *Variety*, several studios were competing to make the movie *Lizard Music*, but United Artists won the rights. The film will be written and directed by Safdie, and is based on the novel of the same name by Daniel Pinkwater. Scott Stuber, who recently produced Guillermo del Toro’s *Frankenstein* and is working on the Jeremy Allen White biopic *Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere*, is also producing the film as part of the deal with UA.

The movie *Man of Tomorrow* was announced in September 2025 and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027. This will be the first time DC has released three movies focusing on characters from the House of El in three years straight.

Finn Wolfhard, known for his role in Stranger Things, revealed that the cast was anxious about how the show’s final season would be received by fans. He told Time that everyone was concerned about a negative reaction similar to the one the final season of Game of Thrones received. However, after reading the scripts for Stranger Things Season 5, they were confident it would be different and that they had something truly special.
