The Batman 2 Director Defends Paul Dano After Quentin Tarantino’s Remarks

During an interview on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, Quentin Tarantino expressed his disapproval of Paul Dano’s performance. He felt the film was intended to focus equally on two actors, but Dano was being overshadowed by his co-star, Daniel, who he believed was significantly outperforming him. Tarantino bluntly described Dano’s performance as weak.

6 Most Exciting Upcoming TV Shows Based On YA Books

As a huge fan of both books and movies, I’ve noticed something really cool: so many of the biggest franchises started as books for younger readers! And honestly, a lot of the movies and TV shows based on those young adult books are actually better than the original stories. It really makes you realize that YA fiction is just as powerful and well-written as anything aimed at adults.

How Spider-Man: Brand New Day Connects to Daredevil: Born Again

Okay, so Marvel’s being super tight-lipped about Born Again Season 2 and the next Spider-Man movie, but I’m picking up some interesting vibes. It seems like both projects are going to be really focused on the gritty side of New York City, with a lot of criminal activity. What’s got me excited is the possibility that these stories aren’t separate at all – they could actually connect! We might be looking at a full-blown mob war, and honestly, I’m crossing my fingers for the live-action team-up of Daredevil and Spider-Man we’ve all been waiting for. If that happens, it’ll be epic!

10 Near-Perfect Sci-Fi Anime Held Back By 1 Fatal Flaw

Many promising science fiction anime series falter near the end, despite having impressive world-building and emotionally resonant moments. Sometimes the problem is a rushed or unsatisfying conclusion, and other times it’s a poorly developed main character that even a clever plot twist can’t fix. In the sci-fi genre, like in shows such as Darling in the Franxx and Psycho-Pass, mistakes stand out more because these stories often require viewers to grasp complex concepts and rules. These anime began with great potential but ultimately lost momentum before reaching a satisfying conclusion.

Dreamers – REVIEW

I just finished watching ‘Dreamers,’ and it really stuck with me. Joy Gharoru-Akpojotor didn’t pull any punches showing what life is like in detention centres. It’s not a movie trying to make a political statement, though – it’s much more about the people caught in the system and their struggles. My only slight disappointment was that, at 75 minutes, some of the characters felt a little underdeveloped, and a few of the supporting roles were a bit one-dimensional. However, the chemistry between the two main actors was fantastic! The film unfolds at a slow pace, which actually worked in its favour, allowing you to really feel Isio’s desperate hope for asylum, even if it felt a little naive at times. It’s a really moving and nuanced piece.
