Marvel Studios is currently finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is expected to hit US theaters next year, and a follow-up movie, Avengers: Secret Wars, is planned for release in 2027.
Macaulay Culkin has “reprised” his role as Kevin in a new ad campaign for Home Instead, a senior care company. The ad (posted by ET) shows Kevin covering the house from Home Alone in bubble wrap in order to keep his aging mother safe, when he meets the granddaughter of an old friend. Check it out:
As a movie buff, I’ve been checking FlixPatrol, and it looks like Red One is wrapping up its run on Prime Video’s Top 10 – it’s currently at number 10 in the US. It’s interesting to see everyone switching gears after Halloween, really getting into the Christmas mood! Red One isn’t the only holiday film doing well, though. Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas is right behind it at number 2, having actually been the top movie for the last three days! Now, Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy has taken the number one spot – it’s a Christmas drama, which just goes to show how much everyone is embracing the holiday spirit on Prime Video right now.
I just finished watching Predator: Badlands, and honestly, the way Dek and Thia’s story wrapped up has me immediately wondering if there’s something extra hidden in the credits! It feels like everyone does these little post-credit scenes now, especially with franchises, and Predator: Killer of Killers actually started that trend for this series, which is pretty cool.
A recent report alleged that the lead actress filed a complaint against her co-star, David Harbour, accusing him of harassment and bullying. Neither actor has confirmed these claims. Notably, Harbour was not present during the start of the promotional tour, according to The Standard.
The Suikoden series from Konami was truly one of a kind. While the first game was great, Suikoden II, released in 1999, was even better. According to Collider, the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday will debut exclusively with screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19, 2025. However, Disney could still change its plans. If the report is accurate, fans will be waiting nearly a year – 364 days, to be exact – to see the trailer, as the movie isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until December 18, 2026.
Focusing on overarching story themes created timeline issues in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Characters who were previously killed sometimes reappeared, like Onaconda Farr, a friend of Padmé’s father, who died in season 2 but returned in season 3, episode 11.
The events of the series left its main characters shaken, separated, and unsure of what was next. As the fifth and final season of Stranger Things approaches, it seems the ending won’t be a complete conclusion. Instead, the story is subtly growing beyond the original show, taking the characters of Hawkins in a surprising new direction.
I’m so excited! Collider just announced that the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday will be shown before Avatar: Fire and Ash hits theaters on December 19th. Apparently, filming finished back in September 2025, and Anthony and Joe Russo directed this massive team-up movie. I can’t wait to finally see it!
