Following the original film, Jason Voorhees, the imposing killer, became the face of the series and continued to haunt new groups of young adults in numerous sequels. While the franchise experienced varying degrees of success throughout the 1980s, it remained a long-standing favorite among horror fans. However, when the series was refreshed in the 1990s, one particular sequel was completely left out of the continuation.

Rick Riordan’s books were incredibly popular, and the publisher allowed him to continue expanding the story with spin-offs like The Kane Chronicles and Heroes of Olympus, proving the world had lasting appeal. However, if actor Jonathan Powell joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a powerful cosmic hero, that could potentially bring Thanos back into the picture.

Details about the movie’s storyline are currently secret, but it’s believed to be inspired by a novel by J.J. Connolly – a continuation of the story from his book “Layer Cake,” which starred a pre-James Bond Daniel Craig in a 2004 film. However, this new film will be a completely separate story, not a sequel, spin-off, or continuation of any previous adaptations of Connolly’s work.
Ian Shorr, who previously wrote the script for Antoine Fuqua’s ‘Infinite,’ has penned the new script. Tim Miller, known for his visual effects work and later directing ‘Deadpool,’ will direct. He also directed ‘Terminator: Dark Fate,’ which aimed to revive the franchise but wasn’t a success – though it wasn’t the worst Terminator film ever made (looking at you, ‘Genysis’!). More recently, Miller created the critically acclaimed animated anthology series ‘Love, Death & Robots’ on Netflix.
Teddy, after doing some online research, convinces his impressionable cousin Donny to help him kidnap Michelle. They believe she’s an alien and want her to take them to her home planet and its ruler. Michelle finds their ideas ridiculous and responds with anger, then attempts to reason with them, and finally begs them to let her go. Meanwhile, the friendly but not very bright local sheriff, who is also a friend of Teddy’s, is investigating the disappearance of a company’s CEO.
Starting November 1st, you can watch World War Z for free on Pluto TV. The movie was a box office success, earning $540 million globally despite a production budget between $190 and $269 million. It currently has a 67% rating from critics and a 72% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Brad Pitt plays Gerry Lane, a former UN investigator who finds himself stuck in a Philadelphia traffic jam – which quickly turns out to be caused by a full-blown zombie apocalypse.
Despite strong performances from Farrell and beautiful visuals by Berger, the movie ultimately struggles because of its confusing script. Adapting Lawrence Osborne’s 2014 novel, the screenwriter attempted to simplify a complex story, but the film quickly becomes overly complicated after a promising start. It begins well, establishing the story and atmosphere, but soon shifts from intriguing to frustrating.
On October 21, 2025, construction walls were put up around the building, marking the start of renovations. The walls are decorated with artwork featuring the Level99 logo and images promoting the new attraction. Plus, advertising is now being shown on the large LED screen on the front of the building.
