As a lifelong movie fan, I always find it fascinating to hear about how stars first started out. This weekend, Reese Witherspoon shared a really touching story at her Hello Sunshine conference. She talked about being a young, aspiring actress trying to get her foot in the door, and how one of her very first auditions was actually for a role opposite Diane Keaton. It was especially poignant because she also took a moment to acknowledge Keaton’s recent passing – a really lovely tribute from one actress to another.

Unfortunately, there won’t be a Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 9 airing on October 16.

An artbook for the upcoming *Thunderbolts* movie revealed early plans to revisit Bucky Barnes’ iconic Winter Soldier appearance in the 2025 film. Although other Marvel characters have used classic designs in recent years, Bucky hasn’t worn the Winter Soldier armor since the 2014 movie *Captain America: The Winter Soldier*.

Concept artist Aleksi Briclot recently revealed early designs for Captain America’s Quantum Suit from the time travel sequence in *Avengers: Endgame*. This version of the suit features significantly more red, particularly across the shoulders and chest, creating a bolder, but perhaps overwhelming, color scheme. The initial designs also included a larger Avengers logo on the chest, which some felt was distracting.

Despite generally sticking to a familiar formula, the *Transformers* franchise has occasionally broken the mold and created truly memorable stories. Examples include *Transformers: Armada* with its distinct style, and the incredibly popular *Beast Wars: Transformers*. *Beast Wars* was groundbreaking for its time, featuring Transformers that turned into animals instead of vehicles, and utilizing 3D animation that, while a bit dated now, was innovative in 1996. The series also boasts beloved characters, including Dinobot – arguably the best-written character in the entire franchise – whose tragic story continues to resonate with fans and deserves wider recognition.

A 2024 study revealed a significant decrease in erotic content in mainstream movies, particularly those made in Hollywood, over the past quarter-century. Researchers suggest several possible reasons for this trend, including shifting audience preferences, negative perceptions of these films, growing concerns about actors’ well-being during production, and the easy access to explicit content online.

The movie starred Sean Connery and told the story of a young boy who unexpectedly teams up with a group of time-traveling dwarves. Together, they journey through different periods in history, searching for treasure to steal.

I just saw this incredible thriller about a food delivery guy who finds himself in a desperate fight for survival. He’s driving through the frozen Minnesota landscape when he’s suddenly pursued by a seriously unhinged snowplow driver – and we have no idea why! It’s a really tense, isolated situation where he has to use all his wits to stay alive. You can find my full review HERE.

With *Peacemaker* Season 2 finished, the next DC TV series on the way is *Lanterns*, the first live-action show centered around Green Lantern since the 2011 film with Ryan Reynolds. While *Peacemaker* and *Lanterns* might seem unrelated, James Gunn, who leads DC Studios and created *Peacemaker*, has hinted at a connection between the two shows. This makes me hopeful that a well-known Green Lantern character from the comics will appear in either *Lanterns* or another DC Universe project.

As a huge fan of both comics and music, I always get a kick out of seeing musicians pop up in the pages of my favorite superhero books! It’s become a fun thing for publishers to do – giving famous artists cameos or even starring roles. Sometimes they’ll get the graphic novel treatment, with stories based on their lives. But I’m really interested in when musicians become *characters* in fictional worlds. I’ve put together a list of the coolest examples, ranking them from pretty neat to totally amazing!
