The new horror film, *Good Boy*, is already creating a lot of excitement, especially thanks to the lead performance by the dog actor, Indy. Interestingly, Indy is actually the director Ben Leonberg’s pet, and the film is told entirely from the dog’s point of view. *Good Boy* has received positive reviews, with many praising Indy’s acting. The filmmakers believe Indy’s performance is so good it deserves an Oscar, even though dogs aren’t eligible! Indy himself even ‘wrote’ an open letter to Variety expressing his desire to win.

Despite its ambition, *Tron* doesn’t fully explore its complex ideas. The concept of the real and digital worlds colliding isn’t new—we’ve seen it in other films, even comedies where digital elements cause real-world chaos. *Ares* attempts to offer commentary on modern society and our relationship with technology, which are timely themes. However, it doesn’t quite reach the same impactful level as a highly regarded film from 2018, a movie that continues to resonate with audiences today.

Released in 2019, *Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark* is a standout PG-13 horror movie that’s perfect for younger audiences getting into the genre. It’s also surprisingly well-received by adults, who appreciate its heartwarming themes and unsettling visuals – all while remaining appropriate for pre-teens and teenagers. This film is a great example of how horror can create movies the whole family can enjoy together.
