Now, a year later, it feels like the entire gaming world has shifted.

Helldivers 2 has had a huge year in 2025! Starting with the massive ‘Battle for Super Earth’ event in the spring, it expanded to Xbox (though the launch had some server issues). A fantastic collaboration with Halo ODST, featuring new in-game content, and the recent ‘Into the Unjust’ update-which added challenging new enemies and sent players on a risky mission into dark, bug-infested lands-have made it a standout year for the game.

For this comparison, I’ll be looking at the X2 Elite chips – specifically the X2E-88-100 and X2E-80-100 models – and the X Elite chips, which include the X1E-84-100, X1E-80-100, and X1E-78-100.

Qualcomm announced that the new chips won’t be available until the beginning of next year, so it will be several months before consumers can try them out.
