Future Xbox consoles may feature AMD’s FSR ray regeneration, a breakthrough that could supercharge graphics performance and next‑gen visuals, claims Xbox’s Matt Booty

AMD recently released a new driver for FSR Redstone, a set of technologies designed to boost frame rates and improve ray tracing on PCs. Microsoft’s Matt Booty announced that Microsoft and AMD are working together to create Ray Regeneration as part of their ongoing partnership.

In a video update, Booty highlighted Microsoft’s involvement, explaining that the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the first game to utilize Ray Regeneration and now also supports FSR Frame Generation for players with AMD’s 9000-series graphics cards.

Booty stated, “We’ve been collaborating closely with AMD to jointly develop FSR Ray Regeneration, significantly enhancing real-time ray tracing.” He added that their work on FSR Redstone is just the beginning, and they’re excited to share more results of their partnership with AMD in future games and on next-generation hardware.

DeckSettings is a free app available on the Google Play Store that provides a searchable database of optimized settings for both LCD and OLED Steam Deck models, making it easy to find the perfect configuration for your games.
