OpenAI is racing to give ChatGPT a flashy upgrade after Google’s Gemini 3 rattled CEO Sam Altman into “code red”

So, OpenAI finally released GPT-5 in August, and honestly, I was a little let down, as were a lot of other people. It just didn’t feel like the huge leap forward we were hoping for, and many of us actually felt like ChatGPT was *worse* after the update. It definitely didn’t live up to the hype, and a lot of users have been pretty vocal about their frustration.

Millions of users were unknowingly tracked in a 7‑year Chrome and Edge malware scheme — extensions turned into spyware

According to TheRegister, a user named ShadyPanda started publishing seemingly harmless browser extensions in 2018. For seven years, these extensions worked as expected, gaining the trust of many users. Once millions of people had installed them, the extensions were secretly updated to spy on users. Netflix is buying Warner Bros. for over $82 billion — including the game studios behind Batman, Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat, and more

Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery have agreed to a massive deal worth $87.2 billion. Netflix will be acquiring Warner Bros.’ film and television production, its valuable content library, and its entire gaming division.

The gaming division includes well-known developers like Rocksteady (known for the Batman: Arkham series), NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat), Traveller’s Tales (LEGO games), and Avalanche Software (Hogwarts Legacy).

Netflix won the bid for Warner Bros. Discovery after competing against other companies, including Comcast and Paramount Skydance, who were also very interested in the purchase.

The deal still needs to be approved by regulators, but is currently projected to be finalized sometime in the third quarter of 2026.
