I’m so excited for the first season of *The Celebrity Traitors* to finally hit BBC One! And get this – the people making the show are already thinking about who they want for the *next* season. Apparently, they’ve got their eye on a really funny celebrity, which is awesome!
I’m already so excited for the new season! The cast is incredible – seriously, it’s packed with British comedy legends. We’re talking Sir Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, Joe Wilkinson… it’s going to be amazing to see them all on screen.
The show’s producers are particularly hoping Bob Mortimer will be a contestant on next year’s season, filmed in Scotland.
Executive producer Sarah Fay told Metro they would be thrilled if Bob decided to participate next year.
As a huge comedy fan, I was thrilled to see Bob Mortimer back on top form! After years of loving his partnership with Vic Reeves, it was fantastic watching him win ‘Last One Laughing’ on Amazon Prime. That show is brutal – basically, comedians trying to make *each other* crack up while keeping a straight face – and he absolutely deserved the win. It really cemented his place as a legend on the UK comedy scene.

Before the BBC could officially announce the celebrities appearing on the first season of *The Celebrity Traitors*, the full cast list was revealed on X (formerly Twitter), sparking fan speculation about whether comedian James Mortimer would be among them.
Sarah Fay also mentioned that Courteney Cox was frequently discussed in the media as a potential candidate. She explained that the decision wasn’t simply about wanting a particular person, but involved other factors as well.
Many people expressed interest, but they were already busy with other projects, according to executive producer Mike Cotton.
As a huge fan of ‘The Celebrity Traitors,’ I was surprised to hear that some well-known personalities actually had to say no to being on the show. Apparently, it’s a scheduling nightmare for some! Baroness Karren Brady from ‘The Apprentice’ even told Metro she just couldn’t fit it in, which is a shame – I would have loved to see her playing the game!
Meanwhile, money expert Martin Lewis said he couldn’t make it work with his busy schedule.
Bob Mortimer hasn’t said if he’d ever be on the game show, but his fans are hoping he will.
