Chainsaw Man’s Extra Final Volume Pages Give Denji’s Arc Closure

Even though fans have different feelings about how the manga ended, it’s now clear that Denji ultimately had a positive outcome.

The 24th volume of Chainsaw Man will be released in Japan on June 4th, but bonus pages from the volume have appeared online ahead of schedule. Though fans were hoping for a full extra chapter or news about Part 3, creator Tatsuki Fujimoto has provided some lovely final pages that offer a sense of completion to Denji’s story.

It’s incredible to witness Denji’s transformation – from a desperate young man who once had to eat toilet paper to get by, to a self-sufficient and capable adult.

Denji Can Finally Afford a Soda at the End of the Chainsaw Man Manga

The very last page of Chainsaw Man is a wonderfully fitting conclusion to the series, echoing a key theme from earlier volumes. Similar to how Volume 11 revisited a scene with Denji, the final page visually mirrors the artwork found inside Volume 1, creating a beautiful sense of completion.

The cover of the first volume features Denji casually leaning against a broken balcony in Tokyo. The city behind him is still under construction, with buildings being built and the balcony itself looking worn and damaged.

The latest artwork for Chainsaw Man shows Denji leaning against a completely repaired banister. The city behind him looks brand new, and the sky is clear. Notably, Denji is wearing a suit and has a soda next to him, suggesting he’s financially stable.

Comparing these two images of Denji really shows how much he’s grown throughout the story. Even though he’s lost some of his past memories, his life is now significantly better than it was at the beginning.

In addition to a bonus image of Denji, other extra pages from the manga’s last volume have been circulating online. As I previously thought, there were three extra pages included, although most of them were blank spaces between chapters. Fans can enjoy some new drawings of Pochita and a last glimpse of the main characters from the final story arc.

However, those hoping for a detailed finale or deeper look into the characters might be let down. Fujimoto decided to leave the story open to interpretation, allowing fans to draw their own conclusions.

The latest volume of Chainsaw Man, number 24, will be released in Japan on June 4th. An English version doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet.
