Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are splitting some checks equally.
Over a year after their difficult, six-year divorce was finalized, details of the settlement are now public. A key point of contention during the legal battle had been Channing Tatum’s income from the Magic Mike movies.
Channing and Jenna Tatum, married from 2009 to 2018, will each receive half of the retirement benefits the other earned during their marriage, according to a court document obtained by TopMob News. These benefits are calculated under the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Pension Plan for Motion Picture Actors.
The financial benefit is figured out by comparing the pension credit earned during the marriage to the total pension credit each person accumulated throughout their working lives. Payments will start on a date chosen by the person receiving them, but not before the earliest date the pension earner could retire, according to their pension plan.
Jenna and Channing, parents to 12-year-old Everly, have reached a divorce settlement where neither will receive financial support from the other. According to documents from TopMob, they’ve also agreed to handle any future disagreements about their daughter’s custody privately, through the courts.
Jenna and Channing went through a long and complicated divorce process that began when Jenna filed in 2018. She later requested a share of Channing’s earnings in April 2024. This all followed Channing’s new relationship with Inka Williams, which began after his split from Zoë Kravitz in April 2025.
Jenna’s lawyers claimed she and her husband jointly obtained the rights to Magic Mike while they were married. They argued that because the franchise—which was partly based on Channing’s past as a male stripper—had become a hugely popular and profitable venture, its income should be considered marital property.
Channing’s lawyers stated that Jenna—who shares 5-year-old Callum and 17-month-old Rhiannon with her fiancé Steve Kazee—was fully involved in all the financial decisions and dealings related to the 2012 movie.

A month after Jenna filed for divorce, Channing Tatum responded to her claims in a court document. According to a May filing obtained by TopMob, he stated he has always agreed to share community property and income with his ex-wife, and that she should have a stake in the profits from Magic Mike.
He contended that Jenna, age 44, was falsely claiming injury to slow down the legal process and make it more costly.
You know, even though Channing and Jenna’s divorce was a bit rocky, I’ve been hearing they’ve really been working on being better friends since then. It’s great to see them trying to rebuild a positive relationship, even after everything.
Jenna and I have worked through our issues, but it was really difficult when our relationship ended, especially since we were so young,” the 45-year-old shared with Variety in September. “We did our best to make it work for a year and a half, but ultimately, it’s something I’d rather not revisit. It’s all behind us now.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan officially separated in 2019 after being married for eight years, but they continue to disagree about finances. They share a daughter, Everly, who was born on May 31, 2013.

Okay, so I’ve been following the Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum divorce for years, and it just keeps getting more intense! Apparently, back in April 2024, Jenna officially asked the court to make both her and Channing have to answer questions – everything about their marriage. Like, she wants them to spill all the details, not just about their personal life, but also about how they handled their money and their businesses together. It’s like she’s determined to get every single thing out in the open, and honestly? I’m living for the drama!
She provided an initial list of evidence she wants to include in the case, which asks for both personal and business tax returns, as well as financial records related to earnings from the Magic Mike movies.

The new actress claims she and Tatum jointly obtained the rights to Magic Mike. She alleges Tatum put the profits into a trust that couldn’t be changed and then transferred the licensing rights to someone else without her knowledge, according to court documents reported by People magazine.
Tatum disputed her claim in his own filing, obtained by TopMob News.
According to court documents, the rights to Magic Mike were developed both during and after Channing Tatum’s marriage. Tatum claims he has put in significant work to improve Magic Mike and its related businesses since the separation, and believes this work gives him sole ownership of those assets.
Okay, so basically, the lawyers are saying the judge needs to figure out who really owns all of Tatum’s amazing creative stuff – like, everything he’s built! It’s not just about what he had before the split, but also all the work he’s put in since then. They need to decide how to fairly divide it all, considering everything he’s been doing on his own. It’s so important that he gets credit for all his continued genius, you know?

Dewan’s initial list of witnesses included several people who collaborated with Tatum on the Magic Mike films, such as director Steven Soderbergh and producers Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan.

Tatum’s initial list of witnesses, submitted to the court a day after Dewan filed hers and also seen by TopMob News, included Steve Kazee, the fiancé of his ex-wife.

Following accusations from Jenna Dewan that her ex-husband, Channing Tatum (who is engaged to Zoë Kravitz), was concealing income, Tatum filed legal documents in May 2024 denying the claims. He stated he has always been willing to share marital assets and profits, including those from Magic Mike. Tatum also asserted that Dewan had full access to their financial information throughout their marriage and continues to have complete access to all records related to their finances, both during and after their separation. The documents suggest that Dewan’s claims are an attempt to delay their divorce proceedings.
The documents claim this tactic is meant to stall the case and drive up legal costs, rather than encourage a settlement. This is especially true given that the petitioner has already ignored a proposed judgment offered during five separate mediation sessions for months.

Tatum and Dewan finalized their divorce in September 2024 after a six-year long battle.
Both parties agreed to forgo spousal support. They also decided that if they have any future disagreements about custody of their daughter, Everly, they will resolve them privately with a judge, without involving court proceedings.
Since reaching an agreement, the couple avoided another trial that was set for December 2024.
