Charlie Hunnam, Morgana McNelis Enjoy Rare Date at Emmys 2025

Charlie Hunnam is treating fans to a side of himself he rarely shares with the public.

The famously private actor had a rare public outing with his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Oh my gosh, before the Emmys even *started* on September 14th – and Nate Bargatze was hosting, can you believe it?! – I was practically glued to my screen watching them! And there they were, my absolute favorites, walking the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in LA, holding onto each other so tightly! It was the cutest thing ever. You can see pictures of everyone who was there, but honestly, I was just focused on *them*. Seriously, check out all the red carpet photos – you won’t be disappointed!

Charlie Hunnam looked sharp in a dark blue suit, wearing it open to show off a matching shirt. He finished the relaxed outfit with black shoes and sunglasses.

McNelis turned heads in a long, gold dress with a low neckline. She accessorized her glamorous look with gold jewelry, a black handbag, and black heels.

After showing off some sweet PDA on the carpet, the two headed inside to enjoy the show.

Some fans were surprised to see the couple out together, as Charlie Hunnam and his long-term partner generally prefer to keep their relationship private.

And the duo isn’t in a hurry to get married, even after so many years together.

Hunnam confessed in a 2020 interview that he wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about marriage, but his partner is. He said he’s willing to go through with it because it means a lot to her, even though he doesn’t feel a strong personal desire for it himself.

The 45-year-old married actress Katharine Towne in Las Vegas at age 18, after a very quick romance. The marriage didn’t last, and he later joked that his first wedding wasn’t a success.

Charlie Hunnam went to the Emmys this year to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series.

Oh my gosh, hearing him say that just *got* me! He’s so right, you know? A truly amazing performance… it’s like it holds a mirror up to your soul, and suddenly things that felt messy and confusing just… click. It’s like he understands exactly how art can take all the hurt and ugliness and turn it into something breathtaking. And he said *these* artists – the nominees! – they’ve all *done* that. It’s just… everything he says is pure poetry, honestly.
