Charlie Sheen’s Ex Brooke Mueller Makes Rare Appearance in Documentary

Charlie Sheen is ready to tell his story—and Brooke Mueller is, too.

As a lifestyle expert looking back on my past, it’s been over fifteen years since my separation from my partner, who is the proud parent of our now 16-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max. Recently, I made a rare public reappearance in the trailer for Charlie Sheen’s upcoming documentary, also known as Charlie Sheen, which is set to air on August 13th.

In the preview of the upcoming documentary scheduled for release on September 10, Brooke can be seen sporting a red long-sleeve tee and black trousers, casually tucking her hair behind her ears while displaying a nonchalant look on her face.

In a quick appearance, the 47-year-old is featured alongside other stars such as Sean Penn, Jon Cryer, and Denise Richards (who is no longer with him) in a compilation for the documentary. Notably, Denise Richards is the mother of Sami, aged 21, and Lola, aged 20, who were born to her and Charlie.

As I ponder over the stories circulating about my friend Charlie’s extraordinary journey and tragic decline from stardom, I can’t help but remember his staggering earnings from Two and A Half Men. Numerous sources have confirmed that he was pulling in a jaw-dropping $1.8 million per episode, a record-breaking sum for a TV actor at the time.

During the two-year marriage between 2008 and 2010, Brooke stood by Charlie during his toughest periods of substance abuse. However, she too faced her own challenges. In a 2023 confession about her relapse after six years of sobriety, she acknowledged that Charlie-with whom she’s had a rollercoaster relationship over the years-is still the first person she reaches out to when she needs help.

“He gets it,” she told People in March. “He’s always there to help me and pick up the pieces.”

Brooke acknowledged on occasion that she might have negatively influenced Charlie. She further stated, “When I reflect on our marriage, he had a habit of easily switching off and going to sleep, while I was often secretly driving to Skid Row in the car.

Simultaneously, those who were close to Charlie but managed to avoid struggles with substance abuse faced a distinct, yet no less challenging fight.

In the documentary trailer, Lola, Denise and Charlie’s youngest daughter, pondered on Charlie’s toughest moments, stating, “It’s difficult to maintain a connection with someone who is battling addiction.

For a deeper look into Charlie’s family, keep reading…

Back in 1984, at the tender age of 19, I, Charlie, was overjoyed to become a father for the first time to my precious daughter, Cassandra. She came into this world with the help of my high school sweetheart, Paula Profit.

Although Cassandra generally avoids public attention, she walked down the aisle at her 2010 wedding accompanied by the actor from “Two and a Half Men.” In this case, the groom was Casey Huffman.

Charlie and his former wife, Denise Richards, had their oldest daughter in 2004 on March 9, which was two years following their wedding.

Initially, Sami gained attention when she made an appearance on Denise Richards’ 2008 reality show “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated”, at a young age.

Approximately ten years past, she achieved recognition in 2022 by joining OnlyFans as a model, not long after turning eighteen. Her professional decision has since proven to be financially successful.

Sami shared with People magazine in February 2025 that this opportunity has led him to encounter some fantastic individuals, and he’s found it incredibly fulfilling to work independently, setting his own schedule, and pursuing his long-held aspirations.

Lola, who was only three years old when the movie “It’s Complicated” first came out, has grown into a person quite distinct from her older sister, who is known for challenging norms.

Born June 1, 2005, she is a woman of God and a devout Christian.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement as follows: “In an interview published in February 2025, I shared with People that my recent baptism felt like an otherworldly experience. I attributed this transformation to Jesus, who not only saved me but also profoundly changed the way I think. Now, He stands as my Savior and confidant, a cherished friend in my life’s journey.

The teen also shared how religion saved her from the darkness of depression.

She honestly confessed on Instagram that she had been feeling utterly lost and without hope, simply trying to get through each day. However, he provided a beacon of light when she couldn’t find her own, rescuing her from the depths of darkness. Jesus helped her overcome intense anxiety and bestowed upon her an inexplicable sense of peace.

After splitting up with Charlie, Denise, now single, took in her baby daughter Eloise in 2011. In the year 2016, a deletion on chromosome 8 was discovered within her, leading to challenges in her development of walking and speaking.

As a proud mom, I gleefully shared with People magazine in March 2025 that my shining star, Eloise, fills every room with her radiant energy. She has an unparalleled zest for life, immersing herself in everything she encounters with pure joy and enthusiasm. Even the older girls can’t help but notice her infectious spirit!

In those rare moments when they bicker, Eloise’s magical presence manages to diffuse the tension. She steps in, offers a gentle reminder, and before you know it, they’re laughing it off – leaving their squabbles behind them like they never happened. It’s nothing short of extraordinary!

Charlie and his third spouse, Brooke Mueller, brought twin sons named Bob Sheen and Max Sheen into the world on March 14, 2009. The pair separated just under two years later, with Bob and Max residing with Denise during their turbulent divorce proceedings.

In 2023, Charlie got candid about raising his youngest children as a single dad.

I shared with People that due to my family’s current circumstances, my mom has been preoccupied and less visible as of late. However, let me assure you, they are an amazing trio, full of intellect, wit, and charm.

At their mother’s 47th birthday party in August 2024, the twins, who typically avoid public attention, made an unusual exception and attended the event.

It’s worth noting that Charlie, whose real name is Carlos Estévez, hails from a well-known family. His father, known as Martin Sheen in the world of entertainment, is a seasoned actor whose acting career stretches over six decades in Hollywood.

Charlie has an elder brother named Emilio Estévez, who likewise chose to tread the same path as their father by appearing in acclaimed films such as The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, Mission: Impossible, and The Mighty Ducks.

The stars also share brother Ramon Estévez andsister Renée Estévez.
