Before Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes ended their relationship, they had been happily celebrating important moments in each other’s lives.

I was really surprised to hear that Kelsea and Chase had broken up, especially since just two days before, her rep told *People* magazine they’d split. After publicly confirming their relationship in March 2023, Chase, who will be 33 on September 16th, frequently shared glimpses of their romance with fans – from romantic red carpet appearances to affectionate posts on social media. However, the actor has often pointed out that those public moments only showed a small part of their lives together.

Chase explained to TopMob News last September that while it might seem like he shares too much, he actually values his privacy. He believes he generally maintains a good level of control over his personal life and keeps it private.

Both Chase and Kelsea have been in public relationships before. Chase dated his *Outer Banks* co-star Madelyn Cline for a year before they split in 2021, and Kelsea finalized her divorce from Morgan Evans in 2022.
