Chibig, the team behind Mika and the Witch’s Mountain, has revealed their next project, Bel’s Fanfare. This action RPG, inspired by The Legend of Zelda, promises a compelling story and quick, engaging battles. It’s planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch (including the new Switch 2), and PC through Steam. To help fund development, Chibig launched a Kickstarter campaign that has already exceeded its €40,000 goal.

About
Bel’s Fanfare is a role-playing game featuring immersive exploration and dynamic combat. Players take on the role of Bel, a newly appointed aura cleaner aboard the once-grand ship, The Witch of the Sea.
Story
Belceboo and his numerous children have been lost and forgotten deep within The Witch of the Sea for a long time. Now, he’s getting the opportunity to send his beloved daughter, Bel, to the surface world. She’ll be working as the captain’s aura cleaner.
As a final farewell, Belceboo gives Bel a special gift: the Ukoback gong-shield. This ancient family treasure can interfere with and soak up magical energy.
While appearing to restore the ship to its original splendor for the passengers, Bel is secretly working on a plan to liberate her family, who are currently imprisoned.

Gameplay
- Discover – Traverse the rooms of the ship in search for secrets. Some will lead you to interesting places. Others… will better be left ignored.
- Purify – Ring your gong-shield to collect aura flies. Use their power to disrupt and cleanse cursed objects. You’re the new aura cleaner after all!
- Gossip – Meddle into the issues of others and watch their stories unfold. Attend to a notorious wizard wedding, bow to the (ex) Queen of Mara, or mediate a neighbors squabble. Find drama at every scale.
- Battle Encounters – Hostile aura resists being cleaned and will trap you into bullet hell arenas. Dodge bullets and block resonant (colored) projectiles until your shield is fully charged!
- Bosses – To truly eradicate aura, you must find its source inside the spirit of key passengers. There, a special challenge awaits you.
