Chloe Fineman Reacts To SNL Adding ‘So Many New People,’ And I’m Here For Her Using A Bruce Willis Classic To Joke About Aging

Fans are just a few weeks away from witnessing the confirmed cast list for Saturday Night Live’s Season 51 as they prepare to debut on television in the fall of 2025. The new team, however, will not resemble the one that marked the golden anniversary season. Due to unexpected departures like Heidi Gardner and terminations such as Michael Longfellow and others, SNL is experiencing a significant shift at its 30 Rock headquarters. Meanwhile, Chloe Fineman, who is returning, is still processing all the changes.

Prior to SNL‘s comeback, Fineman was actively participating in New York Fashion Week by showcasing her personal style at the Michael Kors event. In an interview with ExtraTV, she discussed the designer and was asked about her feelings towards the significant changes. She briefly shared her reactions from the past week, stating:

“I’ve been quite busy with SNL‘s return approaching, but I must say walking the runway for Michael Kors was an incredible experience. The fashion industry has always been a passion of mine, so participating in Fashion Week was truly exciting. As for the changes, I’ve experienced a whirlwind of emotions this week, but overall, I’m optimistic and eager to see what lies ahead.

Pretty wild. Some shocking stuff. A little heartbreak, sadness. I haven’t fully processed anything.

It’s a more comprehensible response than one would anticipate, considering that Chloe Fineman and the entire Saturday Night Live team probably haven’t been working closely together since Season 50 ended in May 2025. Because they don’t interact regularly, the effects of the changes may not be as evident until the whole crew comes back for new episodes.

In simpler terms, if someone informed me today that some of my colleagues who haven’t been around for months won’t be returning to work, and new colleagues unknown to me will join in a month or two, I wouldn’t know how I’d react. This situation has made me feel slightly curious about why I’ve been kept apart from other TopMob editors within this hypothetical scenario. Now, I think it’s best to close that tab for now.

Instead of dwelling on any unpleasant or wistful emotions, Fineman focused on the bright side by looking forward to the addition of the new cast members. She even made light of feeling a bit more her age with all these fresh faces on set, humorously referencing Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep, and Goldie Hawn’s iconic comedy film “Death Becomes Her.” In her own words:

Although the show consistently brings in fresh talent, I’ve been around for seven years now, having witnessed this cycle numerous times. What makes it unique is that these transient individuals leave an everlasting impression on your life. I can’t wait to meet the new faces joining us. The influx of newcomers is quite remarkable. When I saw how youthful the fresh cast was, it sparked a thought in me. I joked about getting a ‘Forever-35’ facelift, and even found myself researching their ages online, feeling akin to the characters in Death Becomes Her.

In a playful nod to the 1992 classic “Death Becomes Her,” directed by Robert Zemekis, I can’t help but imagine myself smoothing out my own skin in jest – a reference to the comedic exploration of eternal youth. Frankly, I never thought anyone would dare remake this unique, dark, and quirky masterpiece. But if there was ever a chance for a new actress to step into Goldie Hawn’s shoes as Helen Sharp, Chloe Fineman might just be the one to do it. Any takers out there, ready to take on this iconic role?

I’ve shared some interesting responses earlier, but here’s a video that you might find intriguing too! In it, our beloved Fineman discusses her choice for an impression she’d like to revisit during the upcoming season. You can check it out below if you’re keen on knowing more! Enjoy!

For those interested in reaching out to the plastic surgeon of Bruce Willis, consider streaming the movie “Death Becomes Her” again or for the first time, which is available through an Amazon Prime subscription.

On Saturday, October 4th, the opening episode of Season 51 for “Saturday Night Live” will be broadcast on NBC, while those with a Peacock subscription can stream it starting at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
