Chris Evans and Alba Baptista recently had a baby, according to several news sources. Their first child arrived on October 25th.
Although he had a busy summer filming Materialists with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal, and Honey Don’t with Margaret Qualley, becoming a father was his main focus.
“We’re laying low,” he told TopMob News in June. “We’re enjoying our time, just relaxing.”
Since marrying Alba in September 2023, he finds contentment in everyday life and doesn’t need a busy schedule to feel happy.
“It’s incredible,” Chris raved about married life. “It’s wonderful.”
For the 44-year-old, it was always his dream to put down his shield in exchange for a stroller.
He shared with People magazine in 2022, just before going public with his relationship with Alba, that he definitely wanted to get married, have children, and start a family.
Honestly, it’s just so him. He’s always talked about how much he values tradition and ceremony – he grew up with it, you know? And the fact that he wants to create that for others? It’s perfect. Seriously, I can’t think of anything that would make him happier than building those kinds of meaningful experiences. It just feels so authentic to who he is.
He’s just hoping they take more after this wife than him.
He described himself as a sensitive and emotional child, always asking difficult questions. Because of this, he expects any questions now to bring up feelings of anxiety.
He’s excited to tackle the problem. Chris explained that being prepared allows you to not only answer difficult questions directly, but also handle similar challenges in the future.
Chris and Alba, both 28, are already practiced at caring for someone, thanks to their dog, Dodger. Seeing Alba fall in love with Dodger actually made Chris realize she was the one for him.
You know, finding someone who shares your passions is so important, and for me, that definitely includes a love for animals! Last year, I was talking to Access Hollywood and shared that my partner is just as much of a dog person as I am – it’s a huge part of what connects us.
Still, he gushed, “I knew she was the one pretty early on—even before she met Dodger.”

Both actors attended the premiere of Chris’ new film Ghosted…
…but did not pose for photos together.
In February 2023, the actor known for playing an Avenger shared photos and videos celebrating Valentine’s Day with Alba. The posts showed them enjoying various activities together, including hiking, kissing, traveling, carving pumpkins, and spending time with their dog, Dodger.
In 2023, Chris publicly confirmed his relationship with Alba by sharing a video montage of them together on Instagram.
Reports suggest the Marvel actor and the star of Warrior Nun started dating around the middle of 2021. However, people didn’t begin speculating about a romance until November of that year, when they were seen together in New York City.
