However, it’s expected that Steve Rogers and Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will share the screen, and likely even fight each other, in the movie. Now, fans have created artwork imagining this potential showdown.

What Role Should Chris Evans’ Captain America Play In Avengers: Doomsday?
Though Chris Evans’ Captain America was a founding member of the original Avengers, he probably won’t appear in the upcoming new Avengers teams. The movie Thunderbolts is establishing a new group of heroes, with Bucky Barnes (Captain America’s friend) as a leader. The main Avengers team in future films will likely be led by Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, focusing on his story.

There are two interesting ways Chris Evans’ Captain America could face off against Doctor Doom. Alternatively, Robert Downey Jr.’s version of Doctor Doom could be a straightforward villain from the beginning, and Captain America would have to stop him from destroying the multiverse.
Even if the stories of Captain America and Doctor Doom don’t align, there’s a way for Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. to share the screen again. Marvel could bring in a different version of Iron Man – played by Downey – from another universe. It would be a great chance to do so! Another possibility is that the original Tony Stark could help Captain America by traveling through time in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie.
