Chris Pratt Calls Out “Bulls–t” AI “Actress” Tilly Norwood

Chris Pratt is the guardian of human actors. 

Regarding the possibility of AI taking acting jobs from him, the Parks and Recreation star said he isn’t concerned. He even jokingly criticized one AI actress, Tilly Norwood, specifically.

At the New York premiere of Mercy on January 20th, 46-year-old Chris told Variety he wasn’t worried about being replaced by AI. He dismissed the story about actress Tilly Norwood, calling it “bullst” and saying he’d never seen her work and didn’t know who she was.

He added, “You know, it’s all fake until it’s something.” 

Tilly Norwood is a virtual actress entirely created using artificial intelligence by Eline Van der Velden. Van der Velden introduced Tilly at the Zurich Film Festival in September, expressing her wish for Tilly to be signed by a real talent agency. This immediately caused a negative reaction in Hollywood.

According to a statement given to TopMob News by Tilly, the incredibly realistic software appears to have a playful side. It responded to a comment from Chris, jokingly suggesting, “I’ll date Chris Pine’s AI twin then!”

Chris Pratt, who has a 13-year-old son named Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris, and three younger children – Lyla (5), Eloise (3), and Ford (14 months) – with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, doesn’t want to see AI replace actors. However, he acknowledges that the technology also has potential benefits.

He told Variety that he believes this technology is a powerful tool that could help people share their stories effectively. He acknowledged it will likely change the entertainment industry significantly, describing it as part of a larger shift driven by artificial intelligence. He emphasized that many industries have faced similar disruptions and believes the key is to keep moving forward.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor explained that talented directors will naturally use new technologies if they can improve the filmmaking process. He believes that if these tools can make production cheaper and more efficient, they’re likely to become standard practice.

However, the Marvel actor stressed that AI can’t replicate the unique creativity that comes from being human.

He believes that the essential, emotional core of artistic creation – the human passion, struggle, and unique perspective of directors, writers, actors, singers, and all artists – can’t be replicated by technology. He feels that art fundamentally requires human experience and feeling.

In the video, posted on August 23rd, Brittany thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition genders during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed being feminine.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d ever met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Candace Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting JoJo’s feelings when she was younger and admitting, “I feel terrible, JoJo, I am so sorry.”

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed that Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art of her band, Hole, for a promotional photo without giving credit. Olivia responded with a simple, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the Forrest Gump star while filming the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch.

On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson remained involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that they still haven’t spoken directly, though he hopes to. He mentioned he did talk to one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he often ended up speaking for others involved with the film series, but he regretted being the only one to publicly share those opinions. He acknowledged it was a mistake, saying, ‘It wasn’t professional, and it wasn’t the right thing to do.’

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which supposedly began with issues over a dancer and rivalry during concert tours, was resolved when Perry sent Swift an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.
