Chrishell Stause, a cast member on Selling Sunset, expresses her views regarding rumored age restrictions set by the upcoming Bachelorette contestant, Mel Owens, for the next season.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my affection for the Golden Bachelor due to its wholesome nature. Reading a recent headline regarding Mel’s comments on Thursday, June 26, stirred these feelings within me. The kind of energy that might compromise this show is something I strongly oppose.
Chrishell set her post to Bishop Bullwinkle’s “Hell to Da Naw Naw Naw.”
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I, being 66 years young, expressed my enthusiasm for the possibility of a fresh, youthful cast in the upcoming season.
In a recent “MGoBlue” podcast, Mel stated, “When asked about my preference, I simply responded that I prefer people between 45 and 60 years old. And during lunch with the executive producer, I mentioned that if they’re 60 or older, I might have to make some adjustments.
Mel also asserted that one of the show’s producers informed him it wasn’t possible to eliminate any women older than 60, as they were not producing a program titled “The Golden Bachelorette.
He said, ‘Don’t use the word ‘cut.’ I responded, ‘That term is common in football,'” Mel, a former NFL player, explained as he discussed his dating preferences. “Someone asked me what my profile was like,” he continued. “I told them that potential matches should be fit since I maintain my physique and exercise regularly. Also, I suggested they avoid artificial hips and wigs, just to make things clear.
In my role as a lifestyle aficionado, I haven’t noticed any official response from ABC regarding the allegations made by Mel, nor have they disclosed their cast list. When we reached out to them for clarification, they remained silent on the matter.
It was announced in April that Mel is set to take over as the new Golden award recipient, continuing in the tradition of previous winners Gerry Turner and Joan Vassos.
Host Jesse Palmer shared exclusively that Mel is exceptionally good-looking, charismatic, intelligent, and accomplished. He stated, “Mel has had an impressive professional football career and has since become a successful individual. However, while he’s achieved great success, there have been ups and downs in his personal life.
As reported by the 46-year-old host of Bachelor Nation, Mel has faced challenging periods in life due to the loss of his father and a divorce. Notably, he shares two sons with his former spouse, whose identity has not been disclosed publicly.
Jesse explained to Us magazine that it’s during challenging periods in someone’s life when their true character is revealed. In this case, he dedicated himself entirely to raising his two sons, demonstrating an incredible level of devotion and pouring immense energy into them.
He added, “What he’s seeking is friendship. His intentions are sincere, and hearing him express his feelings is truly inspiring. Consequently, I believe he will make an excellent leading role. In my opinion, he is an outstanding candidate to become the next ‘Golden Bachelor’.
The Golden Bachelor season 2 does not yet have a premiere date.
