Chrishell Stause Shares Life Update After Selling Sunset Departure

Chrishell Stause is enjoying life after riding into the sunset.

Four months after leaving the reality show Selling Sunset due to drama on the ninth season, the star revealed what she’s been up to next, along with her partner, G Flip.

Chrishell shared with TopMob News at the 2026 GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills on March 5th that she had just returned from Australia. She had been there to support her partner, who is currently on tour.

The 44-year-old, who married singer August Alsina in 2023, also shared that she’s excited about some upcoming projects.

She said with a playful tone, “I’m here to get a bit of work done.” She explained she was working on a secret project that she couldn’t discuss, but promised it would be worthwhile.

Even though Chrishell left the Netflix show, citing her mental wellbeing as the reason, she expressed gratitude for having been a cast member.

She admitted it was hard, but she focuses on all the good things that happened, rather than dwelling on the disappointing ending. It wasn’t how she hoped things would finish, but she’s trying to stay positive.

Chrishell, who revealed her relationship with G-Flip (born Georgia Claire Flipo) on the show’s season five reunion in 2022, celebrated the show’s nomination for Outstanding Reality Program at the 37th annual awards ceremony sponsored by Hyundai Motor America. (However, Bravo’s Southern Hospitality actually won the award.)

She explained that even when conversations are frustrating, they still matter because others are paying attention.

Chrishell previously announced she was leaving after nine seasons, and mentioned the strained relationship with her costar, Emma Hernan, as one of the reasons. The issue stemmed from Emma’s relationship with Blake Davis, which caused conflict between them.

Chrishell told Bustle in November that people often see her as just a pushy friend when it comes to her relationship with Emma. She also claimed Blake used hurtful language towards non-binary individuals. Chrishell felt the show left out important details that would have supported her point of view, but Blake denied these claims to The Daily Mail.

Nonetheless, she will always have love for her former co-stars, even from a distance.

She said she wishes them well if they continue with the show. While she might not watch future seasons, she holds no negative feelings towards it.

The 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will stream exclusively on Hulu March 21st.

Chrishell’s unexpected departure isn’t unique – many other popular TV stars have also left their shows in surprising ways. Here’s a look at some of them.
