Christy Carlson Romano is providing an update on her health.
Shia LaBeouf, known for his role on Even Stevens, became emotional when she revealed she recently tested positive for cancer during a screening.
Christy shared in an Instagram video on February 17th that she received some test results just before a filming trip to Florida. Her husband’s test was negative, but hers was not.
The 41-year-old, who has two daughters – 9-year-old Isabella and 7-year-old Sofia – with her husband, Brendan Rooney, clarified that this isn’t a formal diagnosis. She explained she’s scheduling a PET scan, a test that looks at how organs and tissues are functioning at a cellular level to help detect conditions like cancer and heart disease.
“I know people probably think I’m being dramatic,” Christy said, crying. “But it’s not an overreaction – cancer is a really serious illness. I just… I have two young daughters.”
Christy decided to get tested partly because of cancer in her family and in memory of her friend, James Van Der Beek, who sadly passed away on February 11th at the age of 48 after fighting colorectal cancer for several years.

I got to know James Van Der Beek and his wonderful family really well. He was a huge part of our Texas community, always supporting incredible charities. He recently passed away, and with cancer affecting so many people, I decided to get tested.
Despite feeling anxious about her recent health screening, the actress known for Kim Possible is focusing on the positive. She’s excited about an upcoming memoir and grateful for the support of her family.
As a long-time supporter, it really touched me to hear Christy say she’s taking things one day at a time and focusing on gratitude. She shared that she’s so thankful for her loving family who are supporting her, and she promised to keep pushing for answers and share updates with us when she can. It’s reassuring to know she has that support system and is staying strong.

Nikki Bella shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit in the chest during a wrestling match with Piper Niven in July 2025.
I remember telling my sister, Bella, that everything would be alright. I was dealing with a recent divorce, and I promised my doctor that as soon as my career slowed down – as soon as I ‘hung up my boots,’ so to speak – I’d come back and we’d get things sorted out. I wanted to make sure everything looked its best because I knew there was a lot of life ahead, and I didn’t want anything holding me back!

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, which was also the year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, when she shared on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many of us are told to expect pain with our periods and to accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and without support.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t posted recently. Suki jokingly replied, hinting she’d been hiding a serious health issue: she’d injured herself six months prior while wearing very tight pants and had been afraid to mention it.

In April 2025, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star shared that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly burst appendix.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain, which led him to the emergency room. He discovered he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

A Racing Louisville midfielder fell to the ground early in her team’s game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
After receiving initial medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests. League officials reported she is currently in stable condition and responsive.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 still cause him problems now.
“It’s been a terrible experience,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been having spasms all over my body, and doctors told me recently—within the last year—that my condition was life-threatening.”
He acknowledged that his pain is intermittent, explaining that his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite functioning as it should.

A former contestant on The Bachelor recently went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a persistent tingling sensation, saying, “Even now, bringing my knees to my toes, it’s still tingly, which is really strange.” He explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat without falling over. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be helped out of Madison Square Garden.
The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually gotten food poisoning and was starting to feel better.

I was so shocked to hear this, but Christa Miller shared that she was actually shot in the face while celebrating her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday! They were out shooting clay pigeons, and somehow, she ended up getting shot. It was back in February 2025 when she first told everyone, and I’ve been sending her all my best wishes ever since.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of a direct hit.
The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against surgery to remove it right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, but thankfully, their vision is currently normal.
Oh my gosh, she actually said she’s just so thankful to still be here! It was so emotional. She told everyone how much she loves her daughters, her husband, her whole family and all her friends. And she said – and I’m not crying, you’re crying – that she literally saw her whole life pass before her eyes. She was so serious when she said to hug the people you love whenever you get the chance because things can change in an instant. It was just… everything.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised when doctors began commenting on her appearance online, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out her face looked significantly different and urged her to get checked. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which ultimately led to the diagnosis. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online feedback. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome will resolve on its own and that she is healthy, calling it the best news she could have received.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very fortunate, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

I was so worried when I heard about what happened to Hailey Bieber back in March 2022! She was having breakfast with Justin when she suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms. She shared that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t even respond. She said she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face started to droop – it must have been terrifying! Thankfully, the drooping stopped and she regained her speech, but she immediately went to the hospital to get checked out. They discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which doctors called a TIA. Later, tests at UCLA revealed she had a hole in her heart, a PFO. Apparently, the blood clot had gone through that hole and caused the TIA. Thankfully, she had a procedure to close the PFO and she’s doing so much better now! It’s such a relief to hear she’s feeling great again.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey later told viewers on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that they were grateful he was going to be okay. It had been a scary and unexpected situation, but he was on the mend.

As someone who often talks about well-being, I was really moved by Jamie Foxx’s openness about his health journey. He kept things pretty quiet at first, but recently shared what happened back in April 2023. He was in Atlanta and suddenly got a terrible headache. He actually asked someone for an aspirin, but passed out before he could take it – and then he doesn’t remember the next 20 days! Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but thankfully his sister, Deidra, insisted on taking him to the hospital. That’s where they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
He had surgery, and 20 days later, on May 4th, he woke up in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then spent time in Chicago focusing on rehab and therapy to regain his strength. He’s incredibly grateful for all the prayers he received, saying he truly needed every single one. It’s a powerful reminder to cherish our health and appreciate the support of loved ones.

The reality TV star said she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced light, leading her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, bravely battled a life-threatening medical condition. In a 2019 essay for The New Yorker, she detailed a terrifying experience she had at the gym, where a severe headache quickly escalated into violent illness and excruciating pain. She soon discovered she was suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a stroke caused by bleeding around the brain, due to a ruptured aneurysm.
Clarke underwent immediate surgery, describing the pain as unbearable. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently. Fortunately, the aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month.
However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a significant bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Thankfully, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently expressed her gratitude for her family’s support after she suffered a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text message and a picture, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer due to complications with lupus and kidney issues. Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said, explaining she’s been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise feeling fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems. Doctors offered various diagnoses, leaving her feeling confused and unwell.
Because she grew up with a holistic approach to health and studied herbalism, Shailene sought answers from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
The physical discomfort led to emotional struggles, including fear of food and issues with body image and identity. She described a period of confusion and insecurity about her own body.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now doing well. She shared that her health issues have resolved and she is very happy and healthy.
