Ciara Shares Heartfelt Message to Russell Wilson After He’s Benched

Ciara is making it’s clear she’s still Russell Willson‘s No. 1 fan.

As a huge fan, I was really gutted to see our veteran quarterback benched after only three games. It’s tough, but I was so impressed to see his wife immediately come out and publicly support him while rookie Jaxson Dart takes over. It shows incredible strength from both of them!

On September 23th, after the news became public, Ciara posted a photo on her Instagram Stories with her children: 10-year-old Future Zahir, 7-year-old Sienna, 4-year-old Win, and 22-month-old Amora. She captioned the photo, “We love you so much.”

Russell Wilson, whose team had a rough start to the season, shared a heartfelt message online, writing, “My why! Love you guys @ciara.”

The 36-year-old player is eager to take on a leadership role with the Giants, both by making plays during games and by being a leader for the team in general.

Speaking to reporters on September 24th, he emphasized his commitment to the team’s success and to supporting his teammate, Jaxson. He’s personally focused on improving his own performance each day and reiterated his desire to remain with the organization, expressing his affection for both the team’s structure and his fellow players. He’s determined to help the team turn things around this season and isn’t giving up on their potential.

In fact, Russell doesn’t believe it’s time for him to hang up his cleats.

I’m not finished yet,” he stated firmly. “I have a lot of confidence in my abilities and I know I can contribute to the team if given the opportunity.”

Russell, a highly accomplished quarterback with ten Pro Bowl selections, joined the Giants in March, signing a one-year contract for $10.5 million. He had previously played for the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Whatever the future holds, Russell Wilson will have Ciara by his side. The singer often brings their children to his practices and games, and she’s spoken about how they support each other in both their professional and personal lives.

She recently told Today that the mutual support in their relationship is amazing. “We grow closer every day by consistently supporting and committing to each other. We truly function as a team,” she explained.
