Cinder City Gets New Trailer Showcasing Story, Gameplay, DLSS 4 and RTX Support

Following the announcement by publishers NCSoft and developers BigFire Games that the project formerly known as LLL is now named Cinder City, a fresh trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming MMO shooter. This new trailer offers insights into some of the narrative scenes from the game, along with glimpses of its strategic and action-packed combat sequences. Take a look at the trailer below.

Additionally, we can confirm that the game “Cinder City” will leverage Nvidia’s RTX and DLSS 4 technology. This implies that the PC version of the shooter will incorporate Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution to enhance the game’s performance by generating additional frames. In terms of visual quality, the game will also utilize Unreal Engine 5 Lumen, as well as enhanced ray-traced effects through RTX.

In Cinder City, you’ll assume the role of a modern-day knight who has been advanced and powered up by technology from the future, specifically from the year 2300. The narrative of this single-player game centers around your quest to find your lost daughter, intertwined with battles against hostile forces that could potentially endanger human existence as a whole.

The game includes a multiplayer mode where you can team up with others for cooperative missions. The gameplay emphasizes strategic battles, including the option to commandeer vehicles and mechs as you confront increasingly powerful enemies.

The game titled “Cinder City” is set in a future interpretation of the Korean city Seoul, not too far away in time. It offers an atmosphere of dystopia and post-apocalypse, as a result of a time-split event that occurred in the 21st century due to the sudden appearance of humans from the year 23rd century who could travel through time. These visitors came to our timeline with the intention to avert an upcoming disaster.

In the backdrop of Seoul, the game Cinder City incorporates actual Korean landmarks for a more immersive experience. Players will be able to identify familiar spots such as Samseong-dong and Noyeong-dong in the game.

According to Jaehyun Bae, CEO and lead of BigFire Games, the name ‘Cinder City‘ symbolizes a future where humanity is in peril, fighting to save the world as a beacon of hope amidst the ruins of a decayed, debauched city. BigFire Games is committed to collaborating diligently to create a game that will captivate players globally.

In a recent chat, Chen shared that BigFire Games aims to establish something distinct when it comes to their new project, deviating significantly from popular looter shooter and battle royale games. The upcoming game intends to leverage many Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) aspects and will prioritize its expansive open-world environment.

In an interview, he clarified their goal: “Instead of following the trend in looter shooters or battle royale games, we aim to introduce something fresh and unique. Our vision is to develop a new game genre for us (NC) that falls under ‘shooter,’ ‘MMO,’ and ‘open world.’ This project will blend various gaming styles and elements from our past games, and we can’t wait to give our community a first look.

The video game titled “Cinder City” is currently being worked on for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles, with a projected launch date in the year 2026.
