A beloved Cartoon Network show is getting a sequel, and recent reports suggest it might arrive sooner than fans think. While many classic Cartoon Network series are moving to new streaming platforms this spring after being removed from their current homes, the network is also bringing back those classics with new projects led by the original creators.
Back in 2024, the creator of Regular Show, J.G. Quintel, announced a new sequel series was in development. Since then, details have been scarce, leaving fans curious about its progress. Now, a report from TVLaint suggests the sequel is set to premiere on Cartoon Network in Europe this May, which could mean it will be available worldwide around the same time.
Regular Show Sequel Could Be Releasing in May 2026

The potential sequel to Regular Show, currently called Regular Show: Lost Tapes, is expected to premiere on Cartoon Network in Central and Eastern Europe this May. While Cartoon Network hasn’t officially confirmed this yet, similar revivals of other shows, like The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, have followed a pattern of debuting on streaming services like Hulu in the US before airing on international Cartoon Network channels a few months later, so a wider release is possible.
Like many revived shows, details about the return of Regular Show are still scarce. We don’t yet know when or where it will be released. It’s likely North American viewers will find the sequel on Hulu, given the recent changes at Warner Bros. Discovery. However, it might air on Adult Swim in Canada and other regions. The planned release window of May 2026 suggests we won’t have to wait too long to see it.
What to Know About Regular Show’s New Sequel

So far, very little is known about the new Regular Show sequel, including whether it’s officially a sequel at all. Besides the confirmation that J.G. Quintel is involved and Mark Hamill will return as Skips, fans haven’t received any details about the upcoming series.
Even just confirming that the new Regular Show will arrive in 2026 would be exciting news for fans of the original Cartoon Network series. It would be the most progress we’ve seen on the revival in a while, giving fans reason to be optimistic. If the recent reports are true, Regular Show is set to make a big return.
