Okay, gamers, get hyped! Tomba! 2, the classic action RPG, is officially coming to PS5, and it’s happening really soon! I’m so excited to finally revisit this adventure on next-gen hardware.
Limited Run Games first announced this release last June, and it’s great to see it’s finally coming out! It will be available in just a few weeks, on December 15th.
This game is a sequel to Tomba! Special Edition, released on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in August 2024. However, the planned special edition for PlayStation 4 has unfortunately been cancelled.
The new game will be similar to the first, offering convenient features like save-anywhere functionality and a rewind option. Plus, players can explore a museum filled with art from the original game.
Tomba! 2 is considered a significant step up from the original game. It introduced new gameplay features, more complex levels, and fully 3D graphics, which led to excellent reviews when it was released for the PlayStation in 1999.
