It’s been confirmed that Hellraiser is making its way into video games, courtesy of Saber Interactive. Following an initial preview, the team has unveiled Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, which represents the first authentic game adaptation of the IP. The development of this new game falls under Boss Team Games, the studio known for creating Evil Dead: The Game. However, players can anticipate a unique gaming experience with Hellraiser: Revival as compared to their previous work.>
Instead of “Hellraiser: Revival” being a multiplayer game like “Evil Dead: The Game“, as fans anticipated, it is actually a single-player survival horror action game. Release date details were not provided, but developers Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have confirmed the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
The preview for “Hellraiser: Revival” offers a sneak peek at its gameplay and graphics, as well as confirming that actor Doug Bradley will reprise his role as Pinhead after nearly 20 years. Moreover, the original creator of “Hellraiser”, Clive Barker, is back on board to collaborate with Saber Interactive on their “Hellraiser” video game.
In the game titled “Hellraiser: Revival,” we follow the character, Aidan, who embarks on a mission to rescue his beloved from a horrifying dimension. To do so, Aidan must decipher and control the Genesis Configuration, harnessing its sinister abilities. As players journey through both the real world and the grotesque nightmares, they strive not only to free Aidan’s girlfriend but also to endure the consequences of Aidan’s deal with Pinhead and the Cenobites.
Saber Interactive, in addition, has disclosed that Boss Team Games is offering two Collector’s Editions. These can be pre-ordered and contain an exclusive Hellraiser Puzzle Box, a striking Hellraiser display statue, and additional collectibles. Saber Interactive is capitalizing on its horror expertise, and Hellraiser appears to be the ideal series for them to work with.
