Even though vampires typically avoid sunlight, Bandai Namco recently showed off a new look at Code Vein 2, giving fans a better idea of what to expect. A new gameplay video highlighted the game’s new weapons – including the stylish Rune Blades – and features like Assimilation. However, the biggest draw seems to be the impressive boss battles, such as the newly revealed boss, The Blinded Resurgence Offspring.
Despite its delicate porcelain appearance, this enemy is a dangerous fighter, expertly wielding a large katana and capable of incredibly fast attacks. It even performs a ritual suicide, seppuku, to transform and release explosive blobs. Watch out for its glowing web attacks, too – they can temporarily slow you down.
While The Blinded Resurgence Offspring boss looks amazing, we’re excited to see what other challenges await in Code Vein 2 when it releases on January 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Players who purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition will get to start playing three days before everyone else. Plus, a free demo will be available on January 23rd, allowing you to try out the Character Creator and even bring your creations into the game to explore the opening area.
