Time travel is rarely simple, particularly when trying to change the past to protect the future. This is true in Bandai Namco Studios’ *Code Vein 2*, where you play as a Revenant Hunter brought back to life by the enigmatic Lou MagMell. Your mission? Travel back in time and stop the Resurgence from wiping out the world.
It’s not as straightforward as it seems. While traveling to the past, you’ll encounter famous figures like Josee Anjou and Holly Asturia. However, someone higher up than Lou warns against changing anything. The big questions are: what really caused the Resurgence, and how is Lou connected to MagMell Island?
Players will be able to experience *Code Vein 2* on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting January 30th, 2026. Even if you’re not interested in the story, the gameplay looks promising, featuring challenging and interesting boss battles. The sequel retains the character customization options from the first game, as well as the unique blood-sucking mechanic used to activate powerful abilities.
