Colleen Hoover is putting her health first.
I was so upset to hear that Colleen Hoover needs surgery and has to postpone some appearances! As a huge fan, I was really looking forward to hearing her speak and was especially excited for the Regretting You premiere. I’m sending her all my best wishes for a speedy recovery and hope she feels better soon. It’s totally understandable she needs to prioritize her health, though, and I’ll be here to support her when she’s ready.
The 45-year-old announced on Instagram on October 17th that she won’t be able to moderate a book signing with Lukas Gage or attend the premiere of the movie Regretting You, or any related events. She shared photos of herself with Gage and his book, I Wrote This For Attention, and explained that she’s undergoing unavoidable surgery and won’t be able to travel for a while. She said she was very disappointed about having to miss the events.
Colleen encouraged her followers to continue supporting Lukas and the cast of Regretting You, including Allison Williams, McKenna Grace, and Mason Thames. She also asked fans to share their moviegoing experiences with her.
Colleen asked her followers to tag her in posts about the upcoming movie, “Regretting You,” when it comes out next week. She shared photos of herself with promotional signs for the film, which is based on her 2019 novel. She explained she’s disappointed to miss the release and premiere but is thankful for the hard work of the cast and crew.
Oh my gosh, everyone was just showering Colleen with so much love! I saw Lukas wrote ‘We love you Colleen Hoover’ and it totally made my day! And then, John Marrs – seriously, one of my favorite authors! – commented wishing her well with her surgery and saying how excited he is to read her new book with FM McFadden. He said we’re all in for a treat, and honestly, he’s SO right! I’m already counting down the days!
The movie, releasing on October 24th, is adapted from Colleen’s 2019 novel and tells the story of a mother and daughter working to rebuild their bond after a difficult family event.
Colleen was excited to see the story adapted for the screen because it allowed her to reconnect with characters she cared about.
Colleen, the author of the book Regretting You, said in a behind-the-scenes video posted to Instagram on September 22nd that she enjoyed watching the film because it brought the characters to life in a way that matched her vision. She emphasized that it’s important to her that the actors accurately portray the characters she imagined while writing.
She was really impressed with how well the actors embodied the characters from the book. She believes readers will be very happy with the adaptation.

Nikki Bella, known from Total Bellas, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit in the chest during a wrestling match with Piper Niven in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
I was so moved when she finally shared her story in 2025. She wrote on Instagram about how she’d been quietly struggling with this for over ten years, and it really resonated with me. It took a lot of courage to finally speak up after so long.
She explained that growing up, she was taught to expect periods to be painful, and to accept that pain as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves people feeling like they’re dealing with a difficult experience on their own, when it’s something many women share.
In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki replied, jokingly suggesting the reason was a hernia she got six months ago from wearing overly tight pants, which she’s been afraid to mention.
I was so worried to hear that Brian Austin Green had to have surgery! He shared in April 2025 that his appendix was really close to bursting, and he’s been recovering since. I’m just glad he’s doing better!
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
During a soccer game against the Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder from Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
Savannah was given immediate medical attention on the field and then taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! I just found out that Adam Devine – my absolute favorite! – is still dealing with injuries from when he was eleven! Apparently, he got hit by a cement truck when he was a kid, and it’s still bothering him now! It’s just… heartbreaking, honestly, knowing he’s been dealing with that for so long. I feel so bad for him, but also so impressed he’s still as hilarious and energetic as ever! Seriously, cement truck?! Poor Adam!
“It’s been a really tough time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been having spasms all over my body, and doctors actually told me recently that my life was in danger—I was told I could die within the past year.”
He mentioned that his pain is intermittent, explaining that his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.
A former contestant on The Bachelor recently went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his legs as of March 2025, sharing this on his Trading Secrets podcast. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was comfortably squatting 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat without falling, saying it feels like he’s had a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

The comedian later posted on social media to explain that he hadn’t been feeling well due to food poisoning, but was now recovering.
In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.
I was at a party when someone accidentally shot me in the face while firing a gun in the wrong direction,” she explained on Instagram. “Brendan Rooney quickly helped me, checked my injuries, and drove me to the hospital. I was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to my right eye – less than an inch away.
The Kim Possible actress explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind her eye, and doctors believe it’s too dangerous to remove with surgery right now. She’s being closely monitored by doctors, but currently, her vision is normal.
As a huge fan, hearing her speak really touched me. She shared how incredibly thankful she is just to be alive. She talked about how much her daughters, husband, family, and friends mean to her – it was so heartfelt. She said she literally saw her life pass before her eyes, and it made me realize something important: we need to cherish the people we love and hug them whenever we can, because things can change so quickly.
Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, surprisingly, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving critical comments online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online feedback. Thankfully, doctors determined her case of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, and she’s now happy and healthy, calling the diagnosis “the greatest news imaginable.”
In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son fully recovered, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and no parent should have to go through that.”
I was so scared when I heard about what happened to Hailey Bieber! Back in March 2022, she was having breakfast with Justin and suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms. She shared on YouTube that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t even respond. She said she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face started to droop – it must have been terrifying! Thankfully, the drooping stopped and she was able to speak again, but she went straight to the hospital to get checked out. It turned out she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which doctors called a TIA. Later, they discovered she had a hole in her heart, a PFO, which is how the clot had gotten to her brain in the first place. She had a procedure to close the hole, and thankfully, she says she’s feeling great now. I’m so relieved she’s doing better – it was a really scary situation!
The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.
Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described the situation as scary and unexpected, but expressed gratitude that he was going to be okay.
Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he’d suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
Twenty days after surgery, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! She literally said she died while running the first challenge on the show! Like, actually ‘died’ – that’s what she told everyone! I’m still reeling! A mile, can you believe it? She’s incredible, even when she’s, well, you know… temporarily not alive! It’s just… amazing!
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather before everything went dark. After that, she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
Oh my god, she said her body was actually failing! Like, her organs were just giving up! And it turns out she had this thing called rhabdomyolysis, which basically means your body is screaming, ‘I’m done!’ It’s terrifying! I can’t even imagine going through that. She’s so strong for even talking about it, honestly.
Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache during a workout. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.
Though she was discharged after a month, a follow-up scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and her loved ones immediately came to her side. She told TopMob News that she simply texted her family with a picture after the stroke, and they all rushed to help.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems.
Today, Cori is recovering well. She says she’s doing great and is regaining her motor skills, but otherwise feels fine.
Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems. She saw many doctors but received conflicting diagnoses.
Shailene, who has kept the specifics of her condition private, decided to take a holistic approach, combining traditional medical care with alternative healing methods. This search for answers and comfort took ten years.
The physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling secure in her own body.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental well-being, Shailene is now healthy and feeling good. She expressed her happiness to be in such a positive place.
