Colman Domingo is sing sing-ing his praises to an underrated comedian.
Jeff Hiller, 55, won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series on September 14, 2025, for his work on *The Four Seasons*. He later explained his heartfelt reaction when the winner was announced.
Colman responded to a fan on X, explaining that everyone was showing affection to their coworker because he’s truly deserving of all the praise. He called him a wonderful person and congratulated him with a ‘Bravo!’
The *Euphoria* star was thrilled when Jeff, 49, won for his role in HBO Max’s *Somebody Somewhere*. She happily gasped and cheered as his name was called. *Saturday Night Live*’s Bowen Yang and Michael Urie, who were also nominated for their work on *Saturday Night Live* and Apple TV+’s *Shrinking*, reacted similarly, looking surprised before enthusiastically applauding.
As Jeff walked on stage to accept his award, the cameras panned to Bowen and Michael, who were looking at him with amazement. The other nominees – Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Harrison Ford, and Ike Barinholtz – were also happily celebrating his win.
Everyone reacted genuinely, but Jeff’s moving speech was truly special. It was his first Emmy nomination and win, making the moment even more deserving of recognition.
Honestly, it almost makes me tear up to hear him talk about it. For twenty-five years, all he’s ever wanted is to be an actor, but it feels like the industry has been nudging him towards tech. He shared that feeling with the audience in Los Angeles, and it really resonated. I was so touched when he publicly thanked HBO for giving his show – a show about, let’s be real, us regular, slightly older folks – a place alongside something like *Euphoria*, which is totally different. It’s amazing they’re willing to take a chance on all kinds of stories.
Jeff, who played Joel in the third and final season of the HBO Max series, expressed gratitude to those who supported him, including his husband, Neil Goldberg, and his *Somebody Somewhere* co-star, Bridget Everett.
Oh my god, he actually said it! He thanked Bridget Everett! I was practically sobbing with him. It was the sweetest thing ever – he said she changed his life, and that’s SO true! She inspires everyone to believe in themselves, and he acknowledged that! And he thanked his husband and family for not making fun of his obsession… I mean, his *appreciation* for her. It was just… perfect. I’m not crying, *you’re* crying!
