Compile Heart recently announced Villion: Code, a new RPG created with input from Kouji Okada, a key figure behind the Megami Tensei and Persona series. The game will be available in Japan on May 25th for PlayStation 5, the upcoming Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and the original Switch.
Pricing for the physical editions is as follows:
- Standard Edition
- PlayStation 5, Switch – 8,580 yen
- Switch 2 – 9,680 yen
- Limited Edition
- PlayStation 5, Switch – 10,780 yen
- Switch 2 – 11,880 yen
- Ultra Limited Edition
- PlayStation 5, Switch – 17,380 yen
- Switch 2 – 18,480 yen
The PlayStation 4 version will be a digital-only release.
The game takes place in a futuristic university town built on a floating island in Tokyo Bay, overrun by mutated students and teachers who have become monsters. The dungeons are created randomly and are designed like open-ended tubes, letting you move freely in any direction – reminiscent of the old arcade game Gyruss. Battles are fast-paced and happen in real-time.
The game’s staff includes:
- Project Producer: Kouji Okada (ATLUS co-founder, Megami Tensei and Persona series co-creator)
- Scenario: Tadashi Satomi (Persona: Revelations and Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Eternal Punishment scenario writer)
- Sound Composer: Tsukasa Masuko (Megami Tensei, Megami Tensei II, Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, etc.)
- Character Design: Ilya Kuvshinov
- Theme Song: FRAM
- Voice Cast: Kengo Kawanishi, Aimi, Shunsuke Takeuchi, Atsushi Tamaru, Aoi Nagatsuki, Asami Shimoda
Thanks, Ryokutya2089.
