
The game titled “Contraband,” a collaborative “smuggler’s paradise” set in an open world, which was initially unveiled by Avalanche Studios (the creators of Just Cause) in 2021, is no longer being actively developed, as confirmed by Avalanche Studios after reports from Jason Schreier at Bloomberg and Game File.
For several years, Avalanche Studios Group and Xbox Game Studios Publishing have been working together on the game Contraband. However, currently, development has paused while they consider the project’s future direction. We appreciate the enthusiasm from the community since its announcement, and we will provide an update about what’s next as soon as possible.
According to Game File, production of the game had been ongoing for five years.
As a dedicated follower of gaming, I’m eagerly anticipating the release of OD by Kojima Productions, a project they’re working on in partnership with Microsoft. According to reports by Jason Schreier, this game is still under development.
