Control Has Sold Over 5 Million Units

As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that while Firebreak struggled with sales, Remedy Entertainment’s Control has been a resounding success for me! In their recent half-year financial report, they announced that the third-person shooter surpassed 5 million units sold by the end of June 2025 – an impressive increase from the 4.5 million sales it recorded last year. It’s a testament to the game’s captivating storyline and immersive gameplay, making me even more excited about future releases from this talented team!

This achievement becomes even more noteworthy because we reclaimed the publishing, marketing, and distribution rights for “Control” earlier in the year. As a result, we’ve been able to manage the sales process independently, and our efforts have led to encouraging growth in sales.

Our review covers the base game, along with its expansions – “The Foundation” and “AWE”. Additionally, you can find our take on the “Ultimate Edition”.

Currently, Alan Wake 2 is consistently earning sales and royalties, while the other games in the series are meeting our expectations and providing small but continuous income streams. By the end of 2025, this survival horror game had surpassed two million units sold and recovered all its development and marketing expenses.
