Remedy Entertainment, the team behind games like Alan Wake 2 and Control, is planning something even more impressive with their next title. Control Resonant, a sequel to the 2017 game Control, will follow Dylan Faden as she travels through Manhattan to combat a supernatural danger. The studio says this could be their largest and most ambitious project to date.
It’s clear Remedy isn’t content with simply repeating the success of their first game. In a recent tweet, they stated they’re aiming to create their biggest and most ambitious project yet – a sequel that takes risks and pushes creative limits. After seven years, they believe fans deserve something truly new and exciting.
This action RPG offers a vast and open world to explore in Manhattan, allowing players to complete missions in the order they choose. As you play as Dylan, battling monsters and searching for his sister while trying to save the world, you’ll discover various side quests and unexpected events.
I’m so hyped for this game! The developers described it as a really living, breathing world – totally strange and something you can play again and again, always finding new stuff if you just explore. They’ve also said you’ll play as Dylan, and he’s going to be making new friends and dealing with some tough stuff from his past. Apparently, there are even choices you’ll have to make that are seriously difficult, and they could actually determine the fate of everyone!
That all sounds promising, but fans are eager to learn more. The developer says they’ll share details about the story and world of the game “soon,” but it’s unclear if that means at an event like the Spring State of Play or later at the Summer Game Fest.
Control Resonant will soon be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can add it to your wishlist on digital stores now.
With CONTROL Resonant, we set out to create our most expansive and ambitious game yet. We didn’t want to play it safe with a typical sequel. After seven years, we believe our fans deserve a game that truly pushes the limits of what we’re capable of. CONTROL Resonant…
