A new report suggests we might know when Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming game, Control Resonant, will be released. Remedy fully unveiled the Control sequel at The Game Awards last month. Resonant will star a new main character, Dylan Faden, and will focus more on close-quarters combat than the original game. While previously expected sometime in 2026, we may now have a clearer idea of its release timeframe this year.
A recent investor report, shared by Remedy on Reddit, suggests that Control Resonant is planned for release between April and June of 2026. While the release could potentially slip to the third quarter of the year, June appears to be the most likely launch month. If this timeline is correct, Control Resonant will be available much sooner than many fans expected.
The way we found out about the possible release timeframe for Control Resonant is unusual, but these kinds of reports often come from reliable sources. Because the report includes financial predictions, it’s probable that a second-quarter launch is likely unless Remedy Entertainment states otherwise. This suggests the timeframe is realistic for now.
Rumors suggest that downloadable content (DLC) is also planned for Control Resonant. While specifics haven’t been revealed, the expansion is reportedly aiming for a release in the first quarter of 2028. This isn’t surprising, as Remedy Entertainment has a history of supporting their games with post-launch content, like they did with Control and Alan Wake 2. If the rumors are accurate, we can expect to hear more details from Remedy in the coming months.
Currently, the only confirmed information is that Control Resonant is scheduled to be released this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
