ZA/UM, the creators of the popular game Disco Elysium, are developing a new game called Zero Parades – For Dead Spies, which is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2026.
Zero Parades, and the company behind it, ZA/UM, have been facing significant challenges for a while now, and things aren’t getting any easier.
Following the success of Disco Elysium, several important people who worked on the game-such as lead designer and writer Robert Kurvitz-left the company.
Things have been unclear since then, but it’s become clear that ZA/UM lost several of its key creative team members.

Since then, many fans of Disco Elysium have blamed the game’s developers for how those employees left the company.
I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about Zero Parades lately, and honestly, some people are saying it’s trying to ride the wave of popularity from Disco Elysium. It feels like they’re hoping to benefit from how huge that game became.
This new RPG is being promoted as a follow-up to Disco Elysium, made by the same team. However, many people find this misleading, especially since key developers left the studio.
It’s clear Zero Parades was created by a skilled team, but the project appears disorganized and confusing to those unfamiliar with it.
What do you think about Zero Parades? Do you believe it has the potential to be as good as Disco Elysium, or is it facing an uphill battle to gain popularity? Share your thoughts in the comments!
